Soon after, the headlines stated that his wife, Christine Baumgartner, was filing for divorce from Costner. After that major bit of news, someone started a rumor that he was cheating on his wife and that he got a Yellowstone co-worker pregnant.

Yellowstone’s Kevin Costner is having a rough week

After it was confirmed that Kevin Costner was leaving Yellowstone, fans learned that his wife, Christine Baumgartner had filed for divorce after 18 years. However, that sad news was followed by a claim that Costner was cheating and that the co-worker was pregnant.

However, after a post on social media made the claim, an unnamed source quickly quashed the rumor, telling TMZ that Costner did not get a Yellowstone co-worker pregnant. In fact, the source claimed the rumor was “total BS.”

How did the cheating rumor start?

It seems the source of the rumor was a post on Twitter, which is copied here in case it gets deleted. In fact, the tweet of May 3 came from a Twitter account with only 168 followers, zero likes or retweets and only 225 views.

However, a second tweet in response to a TMZ story is what they are citing with the denial. This tweet was sent by @Grannytologist and reads:

So it wasn’t Bentley who got a girl pregnant on the Yellowstone set .. it was Costner.

Kevin Costner had no prior warning of Christine filing for divorce

When TMZ broke the story of Costner facing divorce from his wife, it seems the actor was blindsided by her filing. His rep told TMZ, “Circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”

The source added that Kevin had no prior warning and is, apparently, still in the dark about Christine’s action. TMZ quotes the divorce documents as listing a date of separation last month, while Costner had no idea it was happening. However, he did file a response to the divorce petition. In that document the couple’s prenup is mentioned, requiring Christine to vacate Costner’s three homes.

Meanwhile, the couple have three children together and both parties are reportedly seeking joint custody. The children are Cayden, 15, Hayes, 13, and Grace, 12. Meanwhile, Costner also has four other children from his previous marriages, Annie, Lily, Joe and Liam.
