Kensington Palace Releases Statement On Behalf Of Kate Middleton’s Bruised Hand

Kensington Palace is through with guessing games. During Kate Middleton’s recent outing, fans spotted that she was wearing a bandage on her hand and wondered what led to the injury. Now all speculations can stop, because the Palace has responded.

Kensington Palace Calls Princess Kate’s Injury “Nothing Serious”

Last month, the Princess of Wales visited a men’s prison in Surrey to learn about the running of the place and whether it benefits the mental health of the inmates.

Even though she was rocking an honest to goodness gorgeous pantsuit, it was the bandaged hand that caught the attention of many royal watchers and naturally raised speculations.

But before we get into the bandaged hand, I’ll like to do a quick recap on her dress for those of us who haven’t seen it. For the outing, the mom of three rocked a navy blue pantsuit, pairing it with a white top and a gold necklace that features the initials of her three children.

She wore her hair loose, and despite the injury, she was as confident and chic as ever.
Okay, back to the injury.

Two of Kate’s fingers were bandaged, leading some fans to suggest she must have broken it in a fall. However, the hands-on mom-of-three actually got the injury playing on a trampoline.

A spokesperson to Kensington Palace called it “a small injury, nothing serious” in a statement to PEOPLE.

Previously, Kate had confessed to her love of working out on a trampoline – call it fun-xercise if you will – whenever she can “squeeze” in the time to do so. And as a mom to three kids and a senior member of the royal family, you can guess how tight that squeezing will be.

Per the Daily Mirror, the royal talked about her fitness time at a reception for the England Wheelchair squad, saying, “it’s running around after the children – I do it all, whenever I can squeeze in exercise I do, even jumping on the trampoline with my children before school.” The event took place in Hampton Court Palace in January.

Recently, the royal also confessed to using cold baths to keep that Kate glow she’s famously known for.
