Josh Duggar’s Possible Constitutional Reason For Appeal

The Counting On spoilers teases Josh Duggar’s possible constitutional reason for his appeal. He wants the U.S. Supreme Court to take a look at his case. Does he even have a case? Keep reading to learn more.

Counting On Spoilers – Josh Duggar’s Appeal To Supreme Court

The Counting On spoilers suggests that Josh Duggar wants to take his case to the highest level of court in the country.

The TLC star refuses to give up. He petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court to appeal his prison sentence. Josh filed an appeal to shorten his sentence, but a judge tossed that out in September.

Josh is currently serving a 12-and-a-half-year prison sentence. He was convicted in December 2021 of two accounts of receiving and possessing child pornography.

Josh was sentenced the following May. His lawyers filed an appeal to the Supreme Court, according to In Touch Weekly.

“Mr. Duggar’s case raises an important question, inter alia, concerning a criminal defendant’s constitutional right to present a complete defense,” Josh Duggar’s lawyer stated, according to the court documents.

According to the Counting On spoilers, the Supreme Court will have to determine whether they will listen to the reality star’s case. This could affect his release date.

However, only a small percentage of cases go to the Supreme Court. Josh’s current release date is set for October 2, 2023, per the Federal Bureau of Prisons database.

Counting On Spoilers – Josh Duggar’s Constitutional Reason

Josh Duggar also needs a constitutional reason for his appeal to reach the Supreme Court. This reason could give him an advantage in his case.

The user ProfessionalPiano351 asked on Reddit: “Do any of you excellent snarkers know what constitutional basis Pests could possibly have for his appeal?”

One user responded: “They’ll decline to hear it. They have more serious questions of law to handle.”

Another user wrote: “They don’t even take up more serious issues consistently. If the Duggars try this, they’re even more delusional than I thought.”
