On May 25, 2022, Josh Duggar, the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, heard that he would spend the next 12.5 years in prison. Counting On critics were hoping for more time because of his conviction for possessing CSAM content on his computer. Anyway, the anniversary of the sentencing date at least seems to have cheered up folks who hoped the judge would throw away the prison keys.
Josh Duggar – How’s It Going For Him In Prison?
To this day, it seems that Anna and her husband still insist on his innocence Of course, his legal team was quick to file for an appeal. Earlier this year, the news arrived that a federal court scheduled a date for oral arguments. Well, these things take a lot of time. And in the case of Jim Bob’s son, there seems to be a lot of evidence to weigh up. So, for now, he sits in Seagoville Prison. And, former Counting On fans hope it stays that way.
Josh Duggar hasn’t been a good boy in prison. Actually, he broke the rules, which saw him stuck in SHU (solitary confinement unit). That came when he was found with a phone, a big no-no. Apparently, it’s considered a very bad crime because a phone can be used to arrange escapes. Other rumors suggest that he found a lover inside and that they were in the same cell together., However, it seems that they never were together in solitary. Yet another rumor arrived that he got a job tutoring, but lost it because he was way too cocky.
Josh Duggar – Got Good Behavior Time Deducted
The former TLC star had promised the judge that he would be as good as gold in prison. But, he wasn’t. So, he lost good behavior time and that means more days to serve behind bars. Inside his first year in prison, he hasn’t seemed to make a favorable impression. However, TLC fans expected that, and they celebrated the anniversary of his sentencing with gusto.
U/penguinmartim shared the first-anniversary date of the sentencing of Josh Duggar via the Duggar Snark subreddit. The caption read, “Happy 1 year sentencing anniversary!” Plenty of other members of the community remember the day the sentence was handed down. No tears were shed for him at the time, and as he showed no remorse, there were no red eyes on the social media page either.
Celebrating The One-Year Anniversary
Speaking about the memories of Josh Duggar, u/honeybaby2019 opined, “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood and Pesty is in prison.”
Meanwhile, u/Specsporter wrote, “There’s still time for him to break the rules (his life’s M.O.) and extend his stay!!”
The celebration came with people posting comments like this one by Prior-Eagle-2056: “Hurray!! He’s still got 11.5 years to go. Maybe more, if he continues to be a dumb-ass. ?”
