Jinger Duggar Reveals She’s ‘Eager’ To Read Her Sister Jill Duggar’s Bombshell Memoir

Fans of the “Counting On” family have been curious to know why Jinger Duggar has been silent on her sister Jill Duggar’s tell-all book “Counting The Cost.” Right from the day Jill shared that she’ll be exposing a lot of things about her upbringing in her new book which was released on September 12, fans were on the lookout for Jinger’s cheering comments but none was seen.

The expectation for Jinger’s reaction had to do with the fact that Jinger had also published her own experiences growing up as a Duggar in her own memoir “Becoming Free Indeed: Disentangling Faith From Fear” which came out in January 2023, so it was expected that even if no family member supported Jill, 32, Jinger would do so without batting an eye.

However, instead of Jinger, it was cousin Amy Duggar King and Aunt Deonna Duggar who publicly supported Jill. Multiple speculations began flying after Jill’s book was released on September 12 and there was still no public congratulations from Jinger.

Well, the TLC alum has taken it upon herself to put her fans’ minds at ease by announcing that she’s really looking forward to reading Jill’s book.

Jinger Duggar — Jinger Duggar Finally Shows Her Support

In a YouTube video which was uploaded on Wednesday, September 27, the mom of two admitted that she’s yet to read Jill’s tell-all memoir, “I actually haven’t read Jill’s book yet, but I am eager to do so,” said Jinger in the video.

Explaining that she has not been quiet on Jill’s book release, Jinger, 29, told her followers that while she was in New York City filming her appearance on Tamron Hall Show, she was also singing Jill’s praises on the show.

“I was able to talk [on the show] about how I love and support my sister and I’m so glad that she has found her voice and is sharing her story now.”

In the clip, Jinger also captured herself going to the bookstore to grab a copy of Jill’s “Counting The Cost” while noting that this was the “first time” she was “reading some little sections here in New York.”

Jinger Duggar — Some Of The Bombshells In Jill Duggar’s Book

As promised to her fans and readers, Jill Duggar’s tell-all book “Counting The Cost” had lots of bombshells in it.

One of the things discussed in the book was how Jill’s parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar reacted after discovering that their eldest son Josh molested five girls in his teenage years.

Despite knowing that four out of the five girls were his daughters, Jill included, Jill revealed that her parents backed Josh up in his abominable character. She wrote, “Watching the way my parents protected my brother… it’s still hard to swallow.”

She shared that at a point she lashed out at her dad, crying, “You treat me worse than you treat my pedophile brother.” Despite her outcry, nothing changed. Jill also shared Jim’s reaction to her getting her nose pierced.

According to the mom of three, she made her dad aware of the step she wanted to take to get her nose pierced. Her reason for choosing to give him a heads-up has to do with Jim Bob’s reaction when he discovered that Jill had added pants to her cloth collections.

After making her father aware of her decision through a voicemail message, she revealed that Jim “Pleaded with me not to do it. He told me I was making a huge mistake. He begged me to think about how it was going to affect my little sisters. He said I was ruining my life,” wrote Jill.

She went on to get her nose pierced and adorned it with a ring. Following her disobedience, Jill revealed, “He’d text verses reminding me to ‘honor thy father and mother,’ and every conversation we had just heaped more guilt on me.”

Feeling unhappy with the texts, she sent her own text saying, “Honestly, I don’t really feel like talking when I feel like there might be a chance I’m just going to be verbally abused, manipulated, and emotionally hurt. It makes me want to shy away from any type of conversation.”
