According to the Counting On spoilers, Jill Duggar exposed her father Jim Bob Duggar again. Earlier this year, she released her book Counting the Cost, which reveals her father allegedly conned her into signing a contract without her consent.

In a new interview, Jill recalled the time when Jim Bob reacted to her fertility issues. She claims that he “favored children with the most kids.”

Jill and her husband Derick Dillard spoke with Dr. Julie Hanks. She talked about the pressure of raising a family at a young age.

She mentioned her new book, which went to the top of The New York Times’s Bestseller list. Jill shared Jim Bob’s reaction to the time when she struggled to get pregnant.

“In the book, I talk about the shift of going from feeling that pressure, being okay with having a lot of children, in that belief system that I grew up in,” Jill Duggar explained. “To then having the shift of being like, do I trust in God with the number of the children that I’m supposed to have, could also mean trusting Him if he doesn’t give us 20 kids.”

Her husband Derick Dillard added that “another toxic aspect of this culture” is the “sense of hierarchy that you’re less than if you have less kids.” Derick added: “But even when your parents have said: ‘Whoever has the most kids get the house.'”

During the interview, Jill Duggar explained that she consulted with a fertility specialist. This was a demand from her father who wanted to control the situation.

She recalled the time when she told him that she didn’t believe she could get pregnant again. Jim Bob asked her, “We don’t really know, do we know?”

According to the Counting On spoilers, Derick found the situation with Jill’s father “frustrating.” He acted like a “gatekeeper for our information.” Jim Bob told them to be careful with their words and not to share their fertility issues. Jill realized that her father set a “boundary line that we didn’t have in the first place.”

Jill and Derick share three children: Israel, eight, Samuel, six, and Frederick, one. In October 2021, Jill took to Instagram to reveal that she suffered a miscarriage after her third baby.
