Jill Dillard Had An Awesome Time Getting Down To Basics

Jill Dillard has been a very busy woman in recent months, but this week, she took some time out and went back to basics for the best fun. The Counting On alum, author, wife, and mom of three boys did something wholesome and probably feels very good because of it.

Jill Dillard – Works Hard Promoting Her Book

A lot of Counting On fans love Derick’s wife because she offers tips on parenting. Plus, she opened up about her life a bit when she had to endure the trial of her brother Josh. However, writing another book after appearing on Amazon’s Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets made her fans full of joy. For the former TLC star, it probably wasn’t a joyful experience. So that might explain why she called her upcoming book, “Counting The Cost.”

Jill Dillard spent months filming, and then she spend months writing a book. And this year, she also spend months promoting her book. Among all of those things she also cares for Israel, Sam, and Freddy. And of course, she’s there for her husband when he gets home from court. So, it’s nice that she managed to do something that she really loves.

Jill Dillard – Gets Her Hands Dirty

Taking to her Instagram Stories on the weekend, Jill shared herself outside in the garden. Actually, she previously got the boys interested in gardening. Fans know that she claims not to have green thumbs, like her sister Jana Duggar. But usually, they reaped enough to make the effort worthwhile. Then, there are strawberry festivals not to be missed on fun family outings.

This week, Jill Dillard combined good company with gardening. Actually, they looked like they had a blast. Amy King is besties with her cousin, and they seem to enjoy doing similar things together when they can. Sometimes, they explore thrift shops, but the weather seemed nice, and the garden seemed like an ideal way to pass a summer’s day.

Jill Dillard – Talking About Gardens In July

Jill Dillard mentioned gardening back in mid-July. She posted a photo on her Instagram and she said that she decided to get to work. Young baby Freddy went along in a backpack for the ride. At the time she said, “I’ve been so busy with the book, some travel, and other life happenings that I haven’t been able to get out into the garden as much as I have wanted to!”

While she got in some “okra and tomatoes before the thunderstorm came,” her sons were able to get in “a cucumber haul.”
