Jill Dillard Claims Jim Bob Duggar Put Her And Her Husband Against One Another

Duggar Family News reveals that Jill Dillard is sharing more about her past with her father, Jim Bob Duggar. She recently released her memoir that she wrote with her husband, Derick Dillard and she let out a lot of the family drama that she and her famous siblings encountered.

After appearing on the Amazon documentary, Shiny, Happy People, she got a lot of backlash for talking poorly about her family and their religion. Her father seemed to sweep all of the family’s problems under the rug, but Jill felt that she needed to reveal what really happened.

Jill Dillard And Jim Bob Duggar’s Relationship

Jill mentioned, in her memoir, that her father actually put her against her husband at one point.

She told her fans, “As we paved our own path, it became difficult for me because I realized I could not please my parents and do what I feel like we’re being called to do. I think whenever it got toxic, it was whenever I was almost forced to choose and I wouldn’t have chosen that, I wanted to please everyone.”

She went on, “If you’re going to put me against my husband, I’m not going to pick you. I’m gonna pick my husband.”

She went on to talk more about how she and Derick decided that the show wasn’t what they needed in their lives.

Jim Bob felt that the show was a way to show the world their lives and it was a “ministry opportunity.” Jill and Derick felt that the family just assumed they would do the show, but when they left, they were shunned.

Jill has been one of the few Duggar children that has been open and honest about her life with her family.

Her relationship is very strained with her parents and it has gotten worse since she decided to speak out against the religion on television and in her book.

Jim Bob did try to contact Jill multiple times, but Derick advised her to get a protective order since it was causing her to have some horrible anxiety and depression.

As much as Jill would like to repair things with her family, she admitted that she isn’t rushing things. “We want to have good relationships. We want there to be better trust.” No matter what has happened, Jill and Derick continue to work on their little family and their lives together now.
