Jessa Duggar’s Fans Criticize Her Pregnancy News Timing As ‘Distraction’ From Jill’s Book

Fans of the “19 Kids And Counting” alum Jessa Duggar are tearing apart Jessa’s recent happy news of being pregnant again. They are of the opinion that the reality tv star is trying to draw attention away from Jill’s upcoming memoir “Counting The Cost.”

While it’s well known that Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald lost their baby a few days before last year’s Christmas through miscarriage, the couple took their time to share that they’re expecting an addition to their family. However, the timing of the announcement seemed to be the issue.

Taking to their YouTube channel on Saturday, the couple gushed, “After a heartbreaking loss of our baby last year, just this past week we found out some wonderful news.” Setting the camera properly, Jessa showed a positive pregnancy test and said, “Our rainbow baby is on the way, and we could not be more excited.”

Fans of “Counting On” took to Reddit to dissect the information and share their dissatisfaction with the timing of the news. One person said, “Well, we called that. Pregnancy announcement from Jessa, days before Jill’s launch.”

And another seconded, “We give Jessa too much credit if this was calculated. I’ll bet [Jim Bob] kindly ‘suggested’ this day to her to drop the announcement. Such spiteful people.”

A third strongly believed that “Jessa expecting again isn’t gonna overshadow the book. So I wonder if they got any other ‘news’ that will be coming out this month…” And a fourth concurred, “The timing is definitely peculiar. Makes you wonder what’s going to creep out of the woodwork in the coming days.”

Another noted, “Something tells me they are worried Jill’s book is going to spill EVERYTHING,” While the sixth added, “This is how we know all of what Jill ever spills about her family is true. This is to get ahead of all negative press. Silly Jessa. Duggar pregnancies aren’t novel enough to distract anyone from Jill’s tell-all.”

Jill’s upcoming memoir “Counting The Cost” will be released on September 12. The memoir which is focused on exposing her family secrets has stirred lots of reactions from the public since its announcement in June.

Jill is following her younger sister Jinger Duggar’s footsteps in revealing their family secrets in a book. Jill has already begun taking steps to promote her book.

Last week, she shared dates for her book tours and revealed places she would be going to for the tours, one in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and another in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
