Is John McCook Leaving The Bold And The Beautiful

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease some heartbreaking scenes ahead for Eric Forrester (John McCook) as his devastating diagnosis begins to take its toll.

Before the fashion show, the doctor told Eric Forrester he was living on borrowed time.  Although the soap opera is being vague about Eric’s actual illness, one thing is clear, Eric Forrester is dying.

John McCook is a household name on The Bold and the Beautiful, the Forrester patriarch joined the cast in 1987 when the soap opera debuted on CBS and has been a series regular ever since.

It’s impossible to imagine B&B without patriarch Eric Forrester.  But, it’s really starting to look like the 79 year old actor is ready to retire and leave the daytime drama.

The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – John McCook’s Daytime Emmy

John McCook was nominated for multiple Daytime Emmy Awards over the years and never took home a trophy.  However, all of that changed last year in 2022 when McCook finally won the Outstanding Lead Actor role for his work as Eric Forrester.

The Bold and the Beautiful rumors hint that after McCook finally achieved his longtime goal of taking home a Daytime Emmy, he was ready to exit and enjoy his remaining years with his family.

McCook hasn’t addressed the rumors surrounding his exit from The Bold and the Beautiful, and why would he?  The last thing he would want to do is give up any spoilers regarding whether Eric lives or dies.

B&B Spoilers – Is Eric Forrester Really Sick

According to B&B spoilers, this week on the soap Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) will make some calls and talk to doctors regarding a second opinion.

There’s a possibility all of this hoopla is for nothing and the patriarch could have just been misdiagnosed and have a few more years left in him at Forrester Creations.
