The TLC reality TV show “Sister Wives” which premiered on September 26, 2010, has successfully run for over two decades now and it’s all thanks to the drama the patriarch Kody Brown and his former four wives brought to the show.
The show kicked off with Kody and his then three wives Meri Brown, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown.
Back then, Meri Brown who got married to Kody in 1990 was his only legal wife while the other two Janelle Brown and Christine Brown were spiritually married to Kody in 1993 and 1994 respectively.
Also back then, Kody, his three wives, and their 12 children— with child number 13 on the way all lived in one house.

Kody was also courting his now fourth but, final and last wife standing, Robyn Brown back then. Although Robyn was divorced and had three children from her previous marriage, Kody didn’t mind.
Kody divorced Meri and went on to legally marry Robyn that same year 2010. He then proceeded to adopt her three children from her previous marriage as his own. Robyn would later give birth to two more children for Kody totaling all Kody’s kids to 18.

With the arrival of Robyn in the family came a lot of drama. What was once a peaceful family began having troubles. The family later moved out of Utah to Las Vegas. The wives later built their own houses and lived with their children.
But then, during the Covid_19 pandemic, so many things happened that eventually resulted in the family’s breakup. One by one the first three wives divorced Kody leaving him with Robyn.
The first to leave was Christine who left in November 2021, followed by Janelle who left the following year 2022, and Meri who followed suit that same year.
With the once polygamous family dismantled, it was unsure how the show would continue to keep viewers interested because, more views means more money for Kody and less views meant no money for Kody.
A Reddit user recently made a post that claims that Kody and Robyn have moved back to living in one house and that move might be his way of protecting his TLC paycheck. The post reads, “Did Kody want to move to Flagstaff for show ratings.”
That post raised a lot of comments as one person commented, “I saw that TLC paid for the big house plans as content for the show. There was never a true desire for that to actually happen, even on Kody’s end lol.”
Some other commenters think that Kody moving back into one house with Robyn and her five children is a solid move that won’t just spice things up for the show’s upcoming season 18, but it’ll also have Kody’s pocket lineup with cash.
