How Old Is Victor Newman On The Young & The Restless?

It’s hard to believe that the Young and the Restless (Y&R) recently celebrated five decades in the land of daytime television.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) may have been a part of the soap when it first debuted back in 1973; however, the land of Genoa City would not be the same without The Moustache.

Victor has been married 14 times, with three of those times being to his current wife (and the love of his life) Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).

He also had a massive “ew” moment in 2012 when he married daughter-in-law Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), not once, but twice.

Victor’s name was originally Christian Miller, and as he was born to a struggling and poor family in Buffalo, New York and was abandoned, he changed his name to Newman, as he created a “new man” of himself.

The name “Christian” has been handed down multiple times to honor Victor and his legacy with both his son Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) given that name as a middle name, and his grandson Christian Newman (Alex Wilson).

Y&R Spoilers – Just How Old Is Victor Newman?

Unlike many other characters, there was never a set birth year or age established when Victor Newman came to Genoa City.

As his portrayer, Eric Braeden, has aged along with the character and he’s the only actor to have been in the role, it’s safe to assume that Victor is around the same age as Braeden, who is 82.

Still, one thing that has been mentioned throughout the years is Victor’s birthdate. At one point in time, it was noted that his birthday was March 7th; however, his driver’s license says “03/06”.

Meanwhile, in 2012 it was mentioned that Victor’s birthday was March 14th. At least the show’s producers have been able to nail it all down to “sometime in March”, right?

Regardless, Genoa City wouldn’t be Genoa City without Victor Newman! What are your favorite Moustache moments?
