Harry Styles Is Being Dragged By Critics To Return His 2023 Grammys Award

Harry Styles may have won “Album of the Year” but he’s certainly not the winner in the eyes of the audience present at the Grammy Awards. On Sunday, Feb. 6, Harry Styles was presented the “Album of the Year Award” for his work on “Harry’s House,” and fans think he’s undeserving of the award.

Reactions from the audience during Harry’s acceptance speech said it all. In his speech, he said, “This album, from start to finish, has been the greatest experience of my life. From making it with two of my best friends to playing it for people has been the greatest joy I could have asked for.”

He proceeded to thank everyone who had a hand in making the album a success to the extent that it won a grammy. Not long after receiving his award, Harry took the stage to perform a vocal on “As It Was,” and it didn’t turn out great. This increased the anger from other stars’ fans who think Beyonce should have won.

During his performance, his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift was the only person who stood up to give Harry an applause because he kept on getting booed and getting chants like “Beyoncé should’ve won.”

Critics took to Twitter to share their thoughts and demand that Harry return his award. Someone said, “Sooooo the more inclusive academy gave Best Pop Vocal Album to Harry… Harry singing out of key and so bad minutes later,” Another added, “And you’re telling me Harry Styles won for Best Pop *checks notes* VOCAL album?!?! After that performance? Be for real #GRAMMYs.”

Someone else tried to defend Harry’s performance by attributing it to the sold-out tour which Harry had before coming to the Grammys. “I feel no need to defend harry’s vocals bc the 15 sold out shows at msg & the forum speak for themselves.” Another chimed: “i fear harry’s grammys performance is a prime example of how prolonged touring can ruin your vocals,” said the person.

During the 2017 Grammys, Adele won album of the year for her album “25” over Beyonce but she rejected the award because she felt Beyonce was more deserving of the win than her.

In her speech, the “Hello” singer said, “I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious but my life is Beyoncé, and the album to me, the Lemonade album, Beyoncé, was so monumental, and so well thought-out.” Continuing, she said, “And so beautiful and soul-baring and we all got to see another side of you that you don’t always let us see, and we appreciate that. And all us artists adore you. You are our light.”

She concluded with “And the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my Black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves. And I love you. I always have.
