Halle Bailey To Drop Debut EP Later This Year Following The Success Of First Solo Single

You’ve probably heard by now that Halle and her sister Chloe will be reuniting in 2024 to release brand new music, but wait, Halle’s solo EP comes first. According to “The Little Mermaid” star, the tracks will be an infusion of modern R&B, Jazz and some pop.

“Before the end of this year,” Halle’s solo EP will be available to fans. The singer and actress launched her solo career with an R&B special, “Angel,” that celebrates feminity and growing up a person of color.

The single was released on August 4, two years after the sibling-duo announced that they’re taking a break from their Grammy-nominated group Chloe x Halle.

Since their hiatus, Halle has managed to secure starring roles in two high profile Hollywood roles, “The Little Mermaid” – which has now grossed over $465 million (£372,218,550) – and the upcoming The “Color Purple” remake.

In a recent chat with Cosmopolitan, Halle revealed that her experiences in a movie set plays a part in her artistry, adding, “Ariel was my college experience.”

She continued: “She was the one to say, ‘Look, look what you have in you. You can.’ Nettie was the same type of lesson, almost in a spiritual way. These characters are speaking to me and teaching me. It’s cool to learn things about life through their eyes. And all musical inspiration really just comes from life experiences.”

Her Relationship With YouTuber-Turned-Rapper DDG Is Also Another Aspect Of Her Life That Inspired The Songs Fans Will Get To Hear On The EP.

“Love has been a really big one for me too, because that’s something I’m experiencing for the first time, and it’s, like, ‘Whoa’ in your brain. It’s just fireworks, a spark for creativity.”

As for whether she’ll be getting personal on the record, the star said, “I don’t really talk about my personal stuff… This has been a really beautiful transformative time for me… It’s like, what the heck did I just experience and go through? A whirlwind of amazingness. You never know what you’re capable of until you’re put through it. I was very creatively inspired, and then from there, I fell in love.”
