While Yellowstone news has been mostly negative in recent weeks, there is one good piece of news for fans.

Fans are still shocked by the fact that Yellowstone will end after part 2 of season 5. Meanwhile, they are also reeling over the news of its lead star, Kevin Costner leaving. Admittedly, there is a new spinoff currently in the works, but the good news is lacking when it comes to the hit modern Western series, at least until now. Read on to find out how those without cable will shortly be able to stream part 1 of season 5.

Not everyone has access to the Paramount Network, meaning some fans have yet to be able to stream the first part of season 5. Right now, fans can stream Yellowstone seasons 1 to 4 on Peacock, but season 5 is yet to make it to the streamer. Meanwhile, Yellowstone is not on Paramount+, while the show’s prequels 1883 and 1923 are both available there.

The way the series is aired is a main bone of contention for fans without cable, but this is set to change shortly. Yahoo! reports that part 1 of season 5 of Yellowstone will join season 1 to season 4 on Peacock, which is great news. Moreover, for anyone not interested in streaming the show, the first half of season 5 is now available to purchase on DVD. However, bear in mind that you will need to purchase a second DVD once the remaining episodes are released.

While originally, part 2 of season 5 was set to air in the summer of 2023, this has changed. Among all the drama of the series ending and Kevin Costner leaving, filming was delayed in the second half of the fifth season. However, while fans need to wait a little longer, the latest update puts the second half of season 5 premiering in November this year.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that the original show is ending, fans do have more prequels coming to Paramount+. This includes season 2 of the Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren-led series, 1923. Meanwhile, a spinoff starring Matthew McConaughey is also coming in the future.

That series sees the iconic Hollywood actor’s return to filming after a four-year hiatus from acting. While the Interstellar actor has enjoyed those last four years, he is excited to be getting back into the art of acting, saying, “To go have some structure like, ‘I got a call time, I’ve got lines, I’ve got scenes, I’ve got a character, that sounds like a vacation right now to me.”

Meanwhile, obviously, his fans can’t wait to see him.
