GH Spoilers: Yvette Nicole Brown Guest Stars For Tribute To Friend Sonya Eddy

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that the soap opera will pay tribute to Sonya Eddy and her legendary head nurse character, Epiphany Johnson, later in March. In fact, SOS has more information on what will take place during the special show. According to TV Insider, actress Yvette Nicole Brown will have a guest appearance during the episode. As per the report, she and Eddy shared a wonderful friendship that spanned two decades.

As most GH fans know, actress Sonya Eddy died on December 19th. She passed away due to complications occurring after a surgery that took place earlier that month. Brown jumped on Instagram after the fact and shared how her friendship with Sonya began. According to the post, she met Eddy in 2003 when they were both testing for The Big House sitcom. The two ladies had been dear friends since.

As Brown puts it, the two supported each other during the “salad days” of their acting career, walking hand-in-hand as they chased their dreams. She also reveals that they often auditioned for the same roles, and always celebrated the other that won the gig. Brown states that Eddy was a “force”, and an “unapologetically joyous and loyal friend.” In the social media post, Yvette also relays how GH will never be the same without out, as well as anyone who knew or loved Sonya.

GH spoilers indicate that the special episode dedicated to Eddy and Epiphany will air on Wednesday, March 29th. It’s important to note that as of this writing, General Hospital is keeping the role Brown will play hidden.

Sonya Eddy joined the GH cast in March 2006, entering the role of the beautiful, sassy, and quick-witted Epiphany, who became the hospital’s new head nurse, replacing Audrey Hardy (Rachel Ames). Fans continue to mourn the loss of Johnson and the positive impact she made in the land of Port Charles.
