Then it happened — the call Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had given up all hope of receiving. There is a bone marrow donor match. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is a match for Willow, and barring any unforeseen health circumstances that could preclude her from donating to Willow, the transplant will take place soon and can likely save Willow’s life. But what about her plans to marry Michael?
As their big day grows near, Willow is going to grow even weaker. Everyone will worry that there may not be enough time left to prepare Willow’s body with chemotherapy while harvesting Liesl’s bone marrow for the transplant. Her health is the family’s top priority. So when her medical team gives the green light for her transplant just days before her would-be wedding, she and Michael will agree it’s best to postpone their wedding in favor of not delaying the transplant another day.
Just because Michael and Willow aren’t saying I do in the Q mansion with their friends and family around them, doesn’t mean they aren’t saying I do. There is a chance Willow may not make it through the transplant, and there is also a chance it won’t take — leaving her days to weeks to live afterward, without enough time to plan another wedding.
So, Michael and Willow are going to take it upon themselves to have yet another General Hospital chapel wedding, complete with only the people who matter most. Will Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) be there?
In the mix of preparing for Willow’s transplant, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) isn’t going to let a good crisis go to waste. He is prepared to take Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) down, and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) alongside him. Learning that his wife, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), knew Drew and Carly were a couple all along and hid it from him is going to make Ned feel a sting of betrayal that fuels his desire to punish them all.
Ah, Quartermaine family traditions. When Drew and Carly learn that Ned has reported them to the SEC, they’ll know to expect a knock at the door any time. With Willow and Michael’s scrapped wedding plans just hours away, these two just might decide to go through with the wedding ceremony — for themselves! Carly and Drew…married? Yes! Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers so you don’t miss Sonny’s reaction.
