GH Spoilers: Who Will Stand In Dex’s Way, Preventing Sonny From Taking The Fall?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is in for a fight if he thinks it’s going to be easy to take down mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Ever since Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) brought Dex to town as a part of his revenge scheme to put Sonny behind bars and dismantle his criminal enterprise, Dex has permeated every corner of Sonny’s personal and professional life.

Now, he’s less than two weeks away from getting Sonny locked up for good on federal charges, and he will never see it coming when someone else steps up to the plate to foil his plans.

General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Backpedals

Michael has been showing signs of uncertainty that Dex seems like he isn’t picking up on. This is odd, since Michael has already tried to back off this plan to ruin his father twice now.

On both occasions, Dex swindled him into sticking it out a little bit longer, claiming they were too deep to get out and were so close to unraveling Sonny’s operation.

Michael held on, and now they’re just days away from blowing Sonny’s life apart for good — but is that really what Michael wants? His current situation with Willow has led him to really question what he wants in his life — and who he wants in his lie.

He’s starting to think he just might want his dad around, and that Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) and Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Brielle) deserve to have that presence, too, regardless of how he feels about Sonny.

Is Michael going to backpedal right out of this deal he made with Dex and alert his dad before the Pikeman shipment can occur? If so, we can just about guess what will become of Dex.

GH Spoilers Say Dante Won’t Hear of It

Rather than Michael, it could be Sonny’s first son — Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) — who rides to his pop’s rescue. Dante isn’t always sure how he feels about what his dad does for a living, though on paper he would state he’s firmly against all crime.

He is an officer of the law, after all. Still, his relationship with his dad is complicated, but he doesn’t want to see him locked up for life, either. Will Dante breach his own moral code with himself and go out on a limb to protect his dad from Dex?

General Hospital Spoilers — Carly is in Sonny’s Corner

Last but not least, it’s also possible that the one person who comes to Sonny’s aid will be the one who knows his business inside and out. When Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) died, Sonny thought his right-hand relationship with him died, too.

However, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has picked up a thing or two over the years and was able to carry Sonny’s business on her own shoulders, with Jason’s help. If she has to do it again to save Sonny, she will, but Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) certainly won’t like Carly being touted as the hero.
