General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) has been pumping the brakes on his plan to seek genetic counseling, much of which was prompted by continuous nudges from his soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Marshall wasn’t pleased with Portia pushing him in that direction, but his most recent response was that he had reconsidered and decided he may undergo the screening. So, what happened?

If Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is his daughter, Portia thinks it’s best to let that sleeping dog lie. Besides, they’re planning to have other children. Marshal was diagnosed with Schizophrenia years ago when genetic testing wasn’t available like it is today. He would be able to learn a lot more from current tests, but every time Portia pushes for that, he hesitates and seems annoyed.

When she and Curtis give his dad all the reason in the world to get tested, he just might go ballistic instead and lose it on his future daughter-in-law. Marshall is clearly hiding something that he doesn’t want anyone to know about. Curtis thought this stage of his relationship with his father was behind them, but he’s got another thing coming.
