GH Spoilers: What’s Up With Spencer’s Irrational Hate For Dex?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) may be a prince, but he has a troubled life. His mom died when he was born and he was raised by single dad Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) in a castle on an island.

His dad pretended to be dead for two years, and Spencer was obsessed with avenging his death while being shipped off to boarding school. Imagine his surprise and disgust when he found out Nikolas wasn’t dead at all.

He hooked up with the evil Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) to get revenge on his father. That didn’t exactly go as planned. His girlfriend tortured his friends and slept with his dad.

No wonder Spencer has anger issues.

General Hospital Spoilers – Is Spencer Cassadine’s Hate For Dex  Heller All About Cam Webber?

Spencer, Cameron Webber (William Lipton), and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) have been friends since they were kids. Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) joined the group in high school while Spencer was away.

When Spencer returned from boarding school, Joss and Cam were already a couple. He was happy that his two besties were together.

Things change. Joss and Cam had gone through a lot and she began to outgrow him and their relationship. The mysterious Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) came into the picture and there was an instant attraction. She ended things with Cam to be with Dex.

Cameron was heartbroken and had every right to be. He was badly hurt. His friend Spencer took his side as any good friend would. But Cam moved on. He received a soccer scholarship from Stanford University, grabbed it, and left for California. Good for him.

Spencer, on the other hand, won’t let it go. He blames Dex for what happened but doesn’t seem to be angry at Josslyn at all. He even feels that Joss is “his” because they grew up together and that she would choose him over her new boyfriend. Sorry Spencer but probably not.

GH Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine Is Taking His Anger Too Far On General Hospital

Spencer’s hate for Dex has become irrational. Dex has tried to make an effort with the Cassadine heir for Joss’ sake but Spencer won’t give an inch.

Spencer looks down on Joss’ boyfriend because he works for his mobster uncle, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Because he is a Cassadine, he thinks he is better than Dex. This is nothing but insecurity on Spencer’s part. He feels threatened by Dex which he didn’t with Cameron.

Things have gotten physical between the two on more than one occasion. Spencer is always the aggressor. He takes swings at Dex whenever he says something he doesn’t like. This is not the smartest thing to do with someone who has been in the military. He should be careful before he really gets hurt.

Trina is not happy with her boyfriend’s behavior. She does not approve of the violence. Spencer better change his attitude before he loses his girlfriend.

General Hospital Spoilers – Is There Something More To Spencer Cassadine’s Animosity Towards Dex Heller?

Spencer’s attitude has some fans wondering if there is something more to the story. One opinion is that the two men are actually brothers.

It could be that either Nikolas or mom Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis) had a baby before Spencer was born. While that may be convoluted, anything is possible on General Hospital.

Brothers or not, it would be nice to see these two get along. It would certainly make Joss and Trina happy.
