At Kelly’s, Trina has an unexpected run-in with her mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Portia is eager to mend fences with her daughter but Trina doesn’t look too receptive. Later, she’ll run into Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) unexpectedly as well, and Trina probably won’t be receptive to him either.
Portia tells a wary Trina she hopes the same can be true for the two of them-it sounds like there was a meeting of the minds somewhere. Perhaps Curtis decided to try and make up with Portia?
At General Hospital, Elizabeth is nervous as she talks to her childhood friend and boss, Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James). She’s up for a review over her recent confession that she secretly provided nursing care to Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) when she was held hostage. Even though Elizabeth got immunity from prosecution, it still makes her an accessory to a crime, and she’s nervous she’ll lose her nursing license and her job. It all depends on the hospital board, and how understanding they are about her situation.
At the Invader office, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) catches up with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) who listens with understanding. Alexis may or may not have found out the real reason Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) hasn’t been working at PCU, but she assumed he was drinking. She tells Diane “that” might be the real reason that he has not been working at Port Charles University.
It seems to be a health condition, however, because Gregory got very defensive and told Alexis he didn’t want anything to do with her when she saw him nearly collapse. Alexis, however, does seem a bit shaken as she confides in Diane.
Greg hasn’t let Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) in on anything about what appears as a serious health condition, but at GH, he’s talking to his eldest, Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Finn apparently has done some medical tests on his father, and is kind and calm as he tells him it’s too early to determine the results. When Gregory came to visit Port Charles a few years back before he and Finn reconciled, he had him test for Lyme Disease but this seems to be more serious. Even in advanced stages, unless he’s got a Lyme bearing parasite in his brain, he wouldn’t have those kind of symptoms.
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is anxious for a second chance with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) after taking Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) advice. Brook Lynn looks like she’s going to cry as he tells her he’s willing to try-is she? It sounds like Willow’s talk to both separated lovers sunk in, and it was a lesson that life’s too short to pass up second chances.
It’s almost certain she’ll give him another chance, especially after starting to write a song about blowing it! As for Chase, he won’t blow it again.
At Spring Ridge, Laura is smiling from ear to ear as she tells Esmé she has wonderful news, and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is with her. Esmé looks wary as she holds Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) in her arms, likely because Spencer is there.
Esmé doesn’t trust any Cassadines and didn’t want Spencer anywhere near Ace, but it looks like the deal to get her charges dropped went through. Laura will likely tell Esmé that Spencer is living with his uncle, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and not her, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain). Esmé will likely be offered again to stay with them, but it will be something she’ll have to think about-Kevin still reminds her of her dad.
At Charlie’s Pub, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) panics when Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) approaches her. She’s scared to death as she asks Jordan if something happened to Sonny. Jordan may be offering her protection since Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) knows there’s something going on. Either way, Nina’s rattled over worst case scenarios with all the scary situations going on.
Nina will be full of questions for Jordan about Sonny’s mob history, to be sure. Dante was absolutely correct that she never realized how dangerous his life could be.
