When Jordan told Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston) she was moving on from her ex who dumped her for his sister-unknown to him –she meant it! As Jordan and Zeke bask in the afterglow of their unexpected spur of the moment hookup, Zeke remarks that was – and Jordan says, smiling, unexpected. Jordan had even dropped her big diamond ring in the bottom of her drink glass, so ready to finally move on from Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and all his pain.
The two know next to nothing about each other, although they saw each other around during the time of Curtis and Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) ill-fated marriage. Zeke has no clue he’s bedded his sister’s romantic rival and she has no clue he’s Portia’s brother-make that former romantic rival!
At the Metro Court restaurant, Olivia and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) have lunch and make plans. Olivia reveals precise plans, as she tells Ned she knows exactly how they’re going to do it. This has to refer to tracking down the real whistleblower who started the ball rolling on the SEC investigation of Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Olivia now believes Ned when he says he’s not the one who blew the whistle, although he had made threats to do so in the past.
While Zeke is still in bed with Jordan, Drew is trying to call him to set up a meeting-it turns out that Zeke is Drew’s attorney. Drew has left several messages that have gone unanswered, and now he asks if there’s any chance they can meet that evening, noting it’s really important. Zeke told Jordan he’d be in Port Charles long-term, so he needs to get his tail out of bed and back to work.
Drew will get a chance to consult with Zeke, and try to carve out a plan for Drew’s defense. But, it’s going to really be hard if he and Carly have to testify against each other.
Nina receives frightening news as Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) tells her that the Feds are leaning on him to give up her identity. This was supposed to be an anonymous whistleblower report but apparently the SEC can request for the whistleblower’s identity to be revealed. That sounds like Ned’s feelers have been able to reach the right contacts within the SEC, or perhaps he greased the right palms. Either way, it looks like it’s not going according to Nina’s rather flimsily put together plan.
It looks like Nina may not be the only one who is receiving frightening news about a situation she’s in, as her birth daughter Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is worried. She looks up at someone with a look of nearly terror on her face as she asks them what it is they’re not telling her. Perhaps Nurse Clare (Susan Diol) is back with news that is not so encouraging or blood tests have come back not the way as hoped.
Willow knew that there was a chance her bone marrow transplant wouldn’t work and her body could either reject the transplant or not be able to produce healthy new blood cells. Could the frightening news be something like that, or something else unrelated to her health?
At Carly’s house, Carly’s in the kitchen with daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and her mini-me gets in her face and challenges her. She tells her to have the courage to finish what Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) couldn’t, meaning hand the video evidence over to the Feds and flip on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)! That is one thing that Carly has been unwilling to do because of repercussions she knows that will come – enemies of Sonny will come, take over, and possibly kill them all. Carly will have to make a very big decision.
Meanwhile, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Sonny are elsewhere, and Dex confronts Sonny, asking why he’s even wasting his time? Sonny may not think his time is being wasted, since later he’ll be meeting with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). It may or may not be about the Pikeman deal, but Valentin was the one who gave him a warning about Pikeman.
It sounds like Sonny’s trying to get to the bottom of whoever tried taking him out at the warehouse. That is a question that still has not been answered.
