GH Spoilers: Victor’s Attempts To Squash Esme Prove He Is No Match For Martin

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) isn’t going to last long in the fight to preserve the Cassadine legacy if he keeps his horse hitched to Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma).

Nik has made one poor mistake after the next and his most recent has landed him in considerably hotter water than just having a baby with his son’s teenage ex-girlfriend. When Victor found out that Nikolas was holding Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) captive in the north tower, he was quick to clean up the mess.

However, his motives were not to keep his nephew out of trouble but to keep Nik indebted to him. Vic now holds even more leverage over Nikolas, and when the time is right, he intends to cash in. For now, though, he’ll have to keep up the ruse of being on Nik’s side, which means going to bat against Esme. However, Esme has help on her side that Victor wasn’t expecting, and they could play tit for tat with Vic to their own advantage.

Esme continues to hold out that she is suffering from memory loss and doesn’t recall where she’s been hiding for the last six months, who the father of her baby is, or that she was involved in any criminal behavior. The PCPD believed she is the primary suspect in The Hook attacks, but her pregnancy has cast some doubts on that theory now seeing as how there is no way she was hiding that stomach on New Year’s Eve.

Victor doesn’t care if Esme is The Hook or not; he just doesn’t want her and the heir she’s about to deliver to mess with his plans for taking over the Cassadine estate. The longer Esme claims she doesn’t remember anything, the more unnerved it makes Victor, who needs to know what she’s got planned and doesn’t believe for a moment that she is suffering from amnesia.

GH Spoilers – Hint His Insider Connections Won’t Help This Time

Victor could make use of his paid allies at the PCPD and the mayor’s office. Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) has kept her ear to the ground for Victor but we haven’t seen her as of late. She may not be able to help him in this case because the PCPD and mayor genuinely don’t have much information on The Hook case. With so few leads, Victor will have to proceed on his own suspicions, which certainly won’t lead him to Heather Webber (Alley Mills).

Should Victor attempt to spar with Esme in her hospital room, he won’t be expecting Martin ‘Marty’ Grey (Michael E. Knight) to show up and rescue his client. Who is footing that bill and could Victor link it back to Nikolas — casting suspicion in the PCPD’s mind as to why Nik would be paying for Esme’s attorney? Marty is a stand-up guy and attorney, but he’s not infallible. He might be willing to strike a deal if Victor is willing to give him what he wants — Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring).
