General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Tuesday, January 3 tease private getaways, surprising secrets, and secret shocks all over Port Charles! Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) enjoy a private getaway, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) notices a surprising secret, and at Wyndemere is a secret shock.

General Hospital Spoilers – Private Getaway

Carly and Drew decided to take a private getaway for New Year’s Eve, as Carly smiles up at Drew and tells him seeing him is her perfect way to celebrate. They’re still keeping their relationship on the down low just in case, until they’re absolutely sure that any danger of being reported for insider trading is gone. Drew gave Carly a key to a house that is probably going to be their private little love nest until further notice for Christmas.

They’d better enjoy New Year’s Eve now, because when they get back to Port Charles there’ll be danger. The Hook is still at large and closer to Carly’s family than she knows!

GH Spoilers – Ice Cream And Confessions

At Kelly’s, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) finish up their ice cream sundaes and Dante has a confession of sorts as he opens up to her. He’s been pretty concerned about his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and this Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) guy. Dante has tried to get Dex to talk about that meat hook incident in the freezer at Pozzulo’s, but he seems to be protecting Sonny. Dante asks Sam what does justice look like when applied to his father?

General Hospital Spoilers – Caught Off Guard

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) seems caught off guard by something she hears; she set up Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) big birthday bash along with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen). She asks someone, “what about Britt?” Britt left the party right after the Happy New Year shout, with Maxie, Brad, and especially her mother Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) concerned when she saw her leave early.

Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and Selina Wu, (Lydia Look) who provided Britt with a new identity and travelling papers are the only ones who know Britt’s leaving town. Austin couldn’t talk Britt out of it, and she doesn’t want anyone to know where she is or follow her, sparing them from her agonizing future with Huntington’s Disease.

GH Spoilers – Britt Westbourne Says Goodbye

Britt appears to already be off The Haunted Star and standing on the pier, waiting for her boat to destiny. Her hair is moving in a slight breeze as she nervously thinks out loud, saying it’s ten minutes before she says goodbye to Port Charles, never intending to return. But not far away, someone else is worried about their own fate and a possible permanent goodbye. Will Britt’s goodbye be what she thinks it will be, or will it be much sooner and in a different way than she intended?

General Hospital Spoilers – Surprising Secret

Back on The Haunted Star, Spencer is still with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) as he realizes a surprising secret. They’ve been faking dating with Britt’s party being their first public appearance, hoping to draw the attention and jealousy of Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) who he thinks is The Hook. Things seem to be getting romantic for real as Spencer looks into Trina’s eyes and she reacts.

“I love yous” may be coming out of their mouths to each other merely for effect, but Spencer notices something. He tells Trina that when she says it, he almost believes it.

GH Spoilers – Secret Shock

Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) arrives at Wyndemere Castle to give Esmé her prenatal care. She had promised Esmé to return with a portable ultrasound so she could see her unborn baby, and Elizabeth wants to make sure all is well inside there too. But instead she finds a frantic Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) who will tell her a shocking secret he doesn’t want her to tell. Esmé jumped off the parapet of the castle turret after staging a diversion by setting her Christmas tree on fire. Nikolas cautions her that no one is ever going to know.

General Hospital Spoilers – The Hook Strikes Again

Back down at the pier, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) tries to duck as The Hook attacks again! The Hook was onboard The Haunted Star and had been approaching Spencer and Trina until Maxie got their attention to come back in on the dance floor. Perhaps Trina isn’t The Hook’s target after all, as she speculated to Spencer.

If she was, then why has The Hook come back to the pier and is poised to kill Josslyn? Unfortunately, Dex doesn’t seem to be around anywhere to save her this time!
