GH Spoilers: Trina Has Second-Thoughts About Spencer’s Plan To Bait The Hook, Realizes She Could Lose Him

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) was all-in on her plan to join forces with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) to lure The Hook out of hiding and take them down. When Spencer showed up at her door over the Christmas holiday and told her of his plans, she knew she couldn’t let him jump into this charade alone.

Cozying up to one another is the best way to taunt The Hook because they were convinced it was Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). However, with Esme washing ashore and being pregnant, and The Hook striking at the same time, it’s going to become glaringly clear that Esme is not The Hook. As they both ponder who it could be, Trina is going to start doubting their plan.

Esme is claiming she doesn’t remember anything. While no one is certain whether that’s all an act or she’s telling the truth, Trina knows one thing is true. She loves Spencer. She may not have admitted it to him, and may at times deny it to herself, but she does.

She absolutely cannot risk losing him now. She just lost Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) and is still recovering from the heartbreak of knowing she never really returned the feelings he had for her. She also only just became friends with Spencer again and has him back in her life after such a long time. She’s not going to give him up now.

GH Spoilers – Tease The Hook Is Watching

Esme might be laid up in a hospital bed with amnesia and hypothermia, but The Hook is still out there hunting for anyone close to Trina who might be an easy target. Somehow, Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) became the latest one to be attacked and she barely escaped with her life.

She wouldn’t have if it were for Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) coming to Joss’ rescue, followed by Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) saving both of them from being hooked. This is not a time to let her guard down and Trina knows that. She also knows her scheme to make Spencer look like her love interest in hopes of drawing Esme out has now only made The Hook think Spencer is someone close to her, just like everyone else they’ve attacked or killed.

Despite Trina’s concerns that she wants to keep him safe, Spencer is not going to back down on his plan to tempt The Hook into coming out of the shadows. If The Hook is not Esme, Spencer is going to move full steam ahead with provoking them by painting himself as the most important person in Trina’s life. Is he hoping The Hook comes after him the same way they came after Rory? Pretty much! We can see why Trina would be worried.
