Dex and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) are discussing a plan that Josslyn is trying to make work that will save her mother from prison and Dex from danger. But Dex doesn’t think that her plan will work, at least if Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) doesn’t agree to it. The end game is getting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in prison, and keep Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) out, and Dex safe.
One huge flaw in Josslyn’s plan is that they don’t know for sure that the Department of Justice is behind the insider trading charges, prodding Carly to flip on Sonny. Plus, Carly refuses to turn Sonny in and neither Josslyn, Dex or Michael have bargaining power with the SEC or the DOJ-and, they’re just rumors, they don’t know for sure.
The Metro Court pool is open for the summer now that Memorial Day is past; Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) are already getting wet. They’re sitting at the edge of the pool dressed in their swimsuits, talking over some current situations. Trina remarks to Spencer it makes her wonder if she should have even asked the question. More than likely they are talking about the DNA test, which proved Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is Trina’s father. Trina knows the man she will always think of her father, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) is hurting, although he tried his best to hide it-Trina regrets getting the test now.
Back at GH, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) hides her disappointment as TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) tells her they really messed up. He’s telling his mom about his current falling out with his domestic partner, Molly Lansing-Davis (Holiday Mia Kriegel), seemingly unable to get past challenges having their own baby. Molly was diagnosed with endometriosis that may be too far advanced for her to either conceive or to carry a baby safely.
Molly and TJ had gotten into an argument over the diagnosis and they haven’t made up. They’re just kind of passing like ships in the night, and not really communicating.
Meanwhile, back at the Ashford-Robinson house Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) asks Curtis what made him decide to stay. She seems to be wondering if Trina hadn’t turned out to be his daughter, if he’d have made a different decision. Curtis obviously has bonded to Trina a little bit, although Trina’s still holding back out of respect for Taggert. But she does acknowledge Curtis did risk his life rescuing her, Spencer and the others from Greenland.
Stella Henry (Vernée Watson) makes the first move as she tells someone it’s time for her and someone to clear the air, and that’s most likely Curtis and Portia. Stella had bailed out of officiating Curtis and Portia’s wedding, suspecting that Curtis was Trina’s father but not telling. She had been giving Portia time to step up on her own but she never did, and that’s what caused the problem when Trina figured it out for herself.
Since they’re all living in the same house now, Stella figures she’d better get things straightened out. They don’t need even more dysfunction in an already dysfunctional family.
Valentin shows up at the Collins house, and tells Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that he believes she has something that belongs to him. He’s likely not talking about the finger broken off a statue, he’s more likely to claim the property in Chechnya.
Even though Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) can’t even speak for himself, he’s not letting him weasel anything else that Valentin was supposed to have. Valentin figures this is just one more insult added to injury for Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) replacing him with Nikolas as his heir. He may suspect that the codicil Nikolas got Wyndemere back with was forged with the help of Victor as well.
Meanwhile, Anna is in a predicament after being arrested by the WSB as she sits with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) as her attorney. This is Victor’s doing, having set the wheels in motion even before he died in the drone strike, apparently having known her gunshot he delivered wasn’t fatal. She’s facing old, old, charges from years ago when she was a double agent for the WSB and the DVX, no doubt dug up by Victor.
Anna is livid as she threatens the agents, likely all swearing their allegiance to the late head of the WSB. She shouts that she’s taking the bureau down with her!
