Planning their upcoming wedding, which is scheduled for Valentine’s Day, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has a request for his father, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett). Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) stands by smiling as Curtis tells his father they’d like his help at their ceremony. Perhaps Curtis wants Marshall to be his best man or maybe even break out his clarinet and play a tune or two.
Marshall, however, doesn’t look exactly thrilled, but it’s a month away so maybe they’ll work out whatever it is in time. Portia let her hair down for the occasion-literally so Marshall should say yes to whatever the request is.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is sympathetic, as she tells Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) she’d never ask him to choose sides. But she also tells him it looks like he already has – might this be about her and Cameron Webber’s (William Lipton) breakup? Spencer comforted Cameron after Josslyn broke up with him and had asked him if Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) had anything to do with it. Obviously Dex did, but it was more Josslyn’s losing her attraction for Cameron and being attracted to Dex that broke them up. Josslyn may hear that she shouldn’t have strung Cameron along for so long from Spencer!
Dex will reassure Michael regarding his attempts to take down Sonny by Dex infiltrating his organization – Michael’s starting to move closer to peace with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). As far as Dex is concerned, he says the sooner this is over the better. In the meantime, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) wants peace between the two of them as she told Sonny in her hospital room in yesterday’s episode.
She recognizes Sonny needs Michael and Michael needs Sonny to get through the stressful situation of the rest of Willow’s pregnancy and bone marrow transplant. She wasn’t sure if she’d make it or not as Sonny tried to encourage her.
At Kelly’s, Cameron reacts in explosive anger as he shouts at someone to stop fighting his battles for him! He could be walking in on the conversation between Josslyn and Spencer, and he would obviously be angry at Josslyn – he doesn’t even want friendship. Spencer might be trying to smooth things over between the two of them, but he’s missing pertinent information. Josslyn had moved on from Cameron before she broke up with him.
At the hospital, there are tears and fears as a panicked Nina tells her aunt, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) that time is slipping away! Nina is obviously worried about if she will be able to donate bone marrow to save Willow’s life, and perhaps she wants Liesl to be tested as a backup. Liesl doesn’t look too happy and actually looks angry – but that’s understandable.
Nina gained a daughter but Liesl lost one, and she may not be in the best mood to hear Nina about discovering a woman who hates her is her daughter. Nina looks very insistent however and she’s not going to give up until she gets a yes.
Michael’s got a bad case of unforgiveness and it sounds like he might be talking about not being able to forgive his own mother. Carly kept secret that Nina was Willow’s birth mother for several months, and her excuses that if she knew Willow was sick she’d have told fall flat. Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) broke up with her over it even though he came to GH to support her and the family, maybe more his nephew than Carly. Two wrongs don’t make a right any more than standing in a garage makes one a car.
At the hospital chapel, Sonny walks in on a tearful Carly and reams her over for making her hate for Nina more important than her so called love for Willow. He glares daggers at her as he tells her she can lie to herself, but she’s not going to lie to him! He already knows that Carly lied for months while Willow’s health declined, but they knew something was wrong with her because of all the fainting.
But that’s not the only problem – it wasn’t Carly’s right to decide what to do with the truth she knew. She should have told Willow even if she didn’t want to have a relationship with Nina.
