GH Spoilers Thursday, February 9: Scary Setbacks, Major Decisions, Reluctant Alliance

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Thursday, February 9 tease scary setbacks, major decisions, and a reluctant alliance. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has a scary setback, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) makes a major decision, and Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) roped into a reluctant alliance!

General Hospital Spoilers – Scary Setbacks

Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) were worried, Michael more than Willow, when Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) came to her room with a serious look. He told them to wait until Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) got there before he’d divulge anything to them. Willow was ready to go to get her chemotherapy treatment and undergo the stem cell transplant, but it looks like there’s a setback.

Willow looks at Austin and possibly at Terry, and says whatever it is, she can handle it. Michael, on the other hand looks grim and not so positive.

GH Spoilers – Considering An Offer

At the Invader, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) reassures Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) that she wouldn’t be offering him a job if “that” was true. Perhaps Greg thinks he’s too old to start over with a brand new career, given they were talking about his not being interested in teaching anymore previously. Many older people have started the best career of their lives after fifty, some much after, artist Grandma Moses for instance who started her painting career at seventy-eight. Gregory will consider her offer, which Alexis obviously thinks is right up his alley.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth updates Finn and tells him she’s decided to turn herself into the police in spite of his trying to talk her out of it. She already talked to Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) who was shocked when she told him she’d committed several crimes. Finn will be shocked as well, but supportive and undoubtedly will pass on Alexis’ hypothetical advice he got previously.

If Elizabeth testifies against Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) she might get out of the charges-unfortunately, that won’t be an option. She may also run into opposition from Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

GH Spoilers – Reluctant Alliance

Elsewhere, Finn finds himself roped into a reluctant alliance with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). She flashes an evil smile as she tells him he’ll be a valuable ally. She plans on taking matters into her own hands, finding out what Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is hiding that she could get her in trouble for. Finn won’t be exactly sure how he can help with that unless he snoops on Carly when she’s around the hospital and reports back. He doesn’t even know her that well, what does Liesl think he can do for her?

General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Jerome Strikes Back

At Wyndemere, Ava Jerome (Maura West) who just accidentally killed Nikolas seems to be blackmailing someone. She tells the person that they and they alone will pay for his crimes, appearing to be referring to Nikolas and his crimes. It’s possible that Victor has shown up looking for Nikolas but she’s taking a big risk talking to him like that.

Perhaps she’s framing someone for Nikolas’ death – Mason Gatlin, (Nathayael Grey) perhaps? Or maybe Austin has returned and she’s talking to him about Mason’s crimes-did they off Mason now?

GH Spoilers – A Child’s Compassion

At the hospital, sweet Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) is worried about her mommy as Carly kneels down towards her with tears in her eyes. Donna asks “what’s wrong, mommy?” as Carly obviously has gotten the bad news about Willow’s setback. It sounds serious – perhaps when Willow hemorrhaged during the birth and flatlined it caused some kind of problem. Perhaps the doctors don’t think that she’ll be strong enough to undergo the stem cell transplant?

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos’ Surprise

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) seems to be planning a surprise for Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros) obviously not knowing about the situation with Willow. Nina is quizzical as she asks him what he’s thinking, and with a mischievous look in his eye and a grin, he says she’ll see. He’s obviously got something special up his sleeve that he knows Nina will love-maybe he copped a close-up visit so she can hold their granddaughter?

He did have that talk with Carly yesterday, maybe he’s convinced her and Michael and Willow that Amelia Grace Tait-Corinthos (Owen and Nathan Ford) is safe with them. Nothing would make Nina happier than to hold her granddaughter.
