GH Spoilers: Spencer Still Has Feelings For Esme, Secret Resentment Ace Isn’t His Son

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate more shockers on the horizon in the land of Port Charles. Right now, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) are not landing on the same page where Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) is concerned.

As the young mom is ready to move out of Laura Collins’s (Genie Francis) home, Spence is fiercely against it, while Trina agrees with Esme’s decision.

Spencer claims this has to do with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay); however, does he still have underlying feelings for his ex?

General Hospital Spoilers – Esme Prince’s Change In Personality

GH spoilers have hinted that Spencer is somewhat attracted to this “new and improved” Esme. After all, there have been sudden glances he’s lingered on when being together with Ms. Prince.

At the end of the day, Esme was Spencer’s first love. While she was nasty, manipulative, and snooty when the two were together, since her “accident” and memory loss, she’s turned into a pretty decent human being.

Obviously, Spencer is crazy over Trina, but he was entering a romance with her when Esme’s amnesia kicked in. Cassadine was “over” the old Esme, but now that she’s different, but still “her”, she may be the Esme he’s secretly always dreamed she could be.

GH Spoilers – The Ace Cassadine Factor

There’s also got to be some underlying resentment on Spence’s part that Ace is his father’s son, and not his. While Spencer is a “good” Cassadine, fans can sense he’s inherited the need to control each and every situation.

While he has a right to see his brother, he has zero rights around guardianship, which frustrates him beyond repair.

At the end of the day, Spencer’s belief that he and Esme could form a platonic family with Ace is not only selfish but delusional.

Still, if he does have feelings for Ms. Prince and a secret wish that he was his brother’s father, his need to “keep things the same” and not have Esme and Ace move out, makes complete sense.

The bigger question is, how does Trina fit into his life, and can they make their romance work with all these new issues that have come up?
