GH Spoilers: Spencer Learns His Dad is Alive And Missing By Choice

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) won’t be happy to learn his father is alive and well. It came as welcomed and relieving news to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) wasn’t dead, but tracking him down will be harder than she thought.

Furthermore, having Ava Jerome (Maura West) go missing — alongside Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) troubles at home — could leave Laura bound to Port Charles for a bit and having to table finding Nikolas for another day.

Spencer will be happy to have his grandmother back in his orbit, but knowing his father is out there living his best life with no regard for his sons is going to sting more than Spencer lets on. Who will help him through it?

General Hospital Spoilers — Spencer Cassadine Shuts Down

Spencer and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) have just had this lovely trip to New York City together. They both went on the brief vacation to decompress and enjoy some quality time with each other, but coming back home will serve as a reality check when Laura hits town.

As Spencer learns there is proof his father is alive and spending his money like it’s going out of style, a certain dread could come over him. All this time, he didn’t have to face any certainty that his dad had been harmed or was actually dead this time.

Simultaneously, he didn’t have to cope with the reality that his dad was just opting out of being a dad by choice. Now, faced with that truth, Spencer may push Trina to the side a bit because he never likes to show her just how angry the real Cassadine in him can get.

GH Spoilers – Tease Laura Collins Is Too Optimistic

It’s going to grind Spencer’s gears how much his grandmother tends to give his father a pass. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) might sound far more reasonable to Spencer, but Laura isn’t having any of his psychoanalytic explanations.

She will never get over the childhood her son was forced to endure in her absence, and she knows Nikolas is just a product of that.

Still, Spencer could argue he is much the same and has decided to still do the right thing when the going gets tough — versus running away from his troubles. Laura and Spencer won’t see eye to eye where Nikolas is concerned.

General Hospital Spoilers — Esme Prince Is Just What Spencer Cassadine Needs

As Laura seeks to find Nikolas and bring him home to his sons, and Trina lacks the familiarity needed with Nikolas and the Cassadines to truly understand how Spencer feels, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) just might rise to the occasion and be the person Spencer needs in his corner right now.

He won’t see it coming, and she may not necessarily intend to use his plight and heartache as a means to weaseling herself into his heart, but word on the street is that’s going to happen as a natural progression of things anyway.

Will Trina end up on the sidelines as Esme — who has unfettered 24/7 access to Spencer — is there for his every emotional upset over his father?
