GH Spoilers: Sonny Will Need A Best Man When He Gets Home More Than He Does On The Island

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is headed for wedding bliss with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and it looks like his happy ending is going to begin with the people he loves most all around them as they say their vows.

Sonny made sure to deliver the news in person to all of his loved ones that he and Nina had decided to elope and wanted any of them in attendance who could be. Having his family with him means everything to Sonny, but that doesn’t mean he’s not questioning who is by his side and why.

In fact, we saw him put Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) on the spot, and it seemed like father and son might finally be getting on track. Is it just in time for everything to fall apart? Rumor has it Sonny and Nina will slide into home base with their wedding, but drama is going to hit the fan when they come back home — and Sonny will need someone in his corner who’s truly got his back. Who might that be?

General Hospital Spoilers — Dex Heller…Or Brick

We didn’t see Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) on the plane to the island, and it’s unclear whether he’s going to be present for Sonny’s big day. But maybe the don really wanted to keep this intimate, and having his right-hand man there when his relationship with Dex is strictly as an enforcer isn’t exactly keeping things family-oriented.

Meanwhile, Brick (Stephen A. Smith) has been out of the picture for a couple of weeks, too. With him and Dex sure to butt heads, will Sonny start to question Brick’s loyalty when Brick questions his judgment regarding Dex?

GH Spoilers – Hint Dante Falconeri Is Missing In Action

Dante wasn’t on the plane to the island either. It’s likely that he was in high demand back in Port Charles with the police investigation into Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) allegations against Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) and Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs).

Sonny isn’t likely to take it that hard since he knows he can rely on Dante to hold down the fort back home while Sasha tries to get back on her feet without Gladys’ interference.

When problems arise after the wedding, be they personal or professional and borderline criminal, will Dante have the ability to be there for his pops the way he wants to be?

General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Corinthos Is Back In The Running

It’s starting to look like Sonny and Nina’s island getaway is going to provide some much-needed healing for Sonny and Michael, too.

Their relationship has been to the brink and back over the last two years, and now Michael is finally ready to put himself out there and let his dad back into his life.

The sentimental moments they share during their trip out of town could serve to build a much-needed foundation for what lies ahead.

Little does Sonny know, Michael has already been watching his back — however covertly. But now, Sonny is going to find himself in the lurch and needing a serious ally.

Will Michael step up to the plate — even if it means jumping into Sonny’s criminal empire to keep his dad safe?

How is that going to go over with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) if he does, and will he be there for Sonny because he wants to be, or because he thinks he owes him one? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
