GH Spoilers: Sonny Needs Carly — Drew Romance Hits The Bricks

General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is about to land in some serious hot water, all thanks to his son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain seem to have finally found their happily ever after, but it’s not all sunshine and roses just yet.

With the SEC on their trail, it’s tough to say whether their relationship will survive the looming threat. According to General Hospital spoilers, Carly and Drew have been keeping their love under wraps in order to avoid suspicion. Just when they were entertaining the idea of telling everyone about their not-so-newfound love, Sonny is going to do a bang-up job pulling Carly back into the past — and away from a future with Drew.

Before all the craziness surrounding Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) health, Carly and Drew decided to go public with their relationship. Unfortunately, their plans have hit a roadblock. When Michael’s takedown forces Sonny into hiding, he’ll have to rely on someone else to call the shots back home for him — and Carly will be the only one who can do it.

Carly and Sonny may seem like they have nothing left for each other, but nothing could be further from the truth. When Carly was dragged into the PCPD and questioned by the SEC, it was Sonny who came to her rescue without thinking. Will she reciprocate and risk her relationship with Drew to help Sonny in his time of need?

GH Spoilers – Hint Nina Reeves Isn’t Cut Out For This

It’s a nice idea thinking Nina could just man up and keep things in order for Sonny while he’s away — likely on an island somewhere. But Nina doesn’t know the first thing about Sonny’s business and his associates and enemies would never bow down to the Crimson editor as an authority on anything. No, it has to be Carly — and did we mention she has to be Sonny’s wife?

Oops! That’s not likely to sit well with Nina or Drew, though we suspect he’s likely to be a lot more understanding than Sonny’s lady love will be about him planning to remarry his ex. Announcing their engagement is the only way the Five Families are going to take her seriously.
