General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal fans have been arguing over whether Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) storyline is going to go the way of Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton). Years ago, Jason was in an accident and sustained a head injury. Not remembering anything about his life before as a Quartermaine — the polished son of Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) and Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) — Jason embraced the trade of becoming Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) right-hand man in the mob. His fate was sealed from that moment on. Some fans are arguing that Eddie is going to end up on the same track, while others think the potential for that kind of reboot is absolutely ridiculous. But what does Eddie think of the mob?

Eddie went poking around on the Internet and unearthed some pretty surprising news about the man who welcomed him into his home. Sonny has been nothing but generous to Eddie, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have tricks up his sleeve or an ulterior motive. Negotiations are a specialty of Sonny’s. He wasn’t about to try to lie to Eddie or trick him. Rather, he laid his cards on the table. Sonny admitted to having long-time connections to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), and that keeping Eddie around – locally — would benefit everyone. But Eddie was only interested in learning how that was going to benefit him.

Sonny made sure to a to Eddie his many connections in Port Charles. Of course, this includes people in the music industry. Didn’t you know the metropolis is full of musical acts and artists? Seriously though, Sonny has every intention of hooking Eddie up with the connections he needs to make a go of his singing career. We’re thinking those people might be Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). Regardless, he’ll make good on his promise

Still, as time passes, Eddie might tire of the nightclub music act business. Sure, it’s his passion. We can’t imagine him doing anything but playing music. However, while his nights are busy at The Savoy, his days will be filled with overlooking bits and pieces of Sonny’s lifestyle — and he may come to admire the empire Sonny has built and look for how he can get a piece of that pie. Sonny might not be looking for another Jason Morgan — after all, he does have Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) now. But if Edie comes to him and relentlessly presses on about how much he wants a shot at working in the mob, is Sonny really going to turn him down?
