GH Spoilers: Sonny Comes Under Fire And A Surprising Ally Comes To His Rescue

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is in serious trouble. Someone is about to put a hit out on his life, and the don just may not survive this attack. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has been worried sick about her ex-husband for months, relaying such concerns to their son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

She found out Michael was already involved with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and going behind Sonny’s back to accomplish his vendetta, she quickly turned the plan on its head and requested that Michael use connection with Dex to look out for his dad instead. Carly never could’ve imagined that so much danger was working right around the corner for Sonny, or that it is coming for her son next. Fortunately for the entire Corinthos clan, someone else is going to come to Sonny’s aid when Dex is otherwise unable to.

Since Sonny came back from Nixon Falls allegedly a changed man – he has coupled up with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), making her his fiancé more recently. Maybe wedding planning is getting the best of the mobster, but it seems that he is slipping. His security team is only as good as he is, and it looks like they may have overlooked a few key details with Pikeman. When Sonny finds himself under fire soon, he’ll be looking in everyone else’s direction instead of pointing the finger of blame at himself.

GH Spoilers  – Hint Dex Heller Comes Up Short

When Dex first took this job with Sonny, he was a covert spy for Michael. In time, he came to respect the mob boss and really took an interest in the business. While Dex still has every intention of being an A+ mob enforcer and Sonny’s right-hand man, that doesn’t mean he’s not distracted. Viewers have lamented for months that Dex doesn’t have what it takes to be the next Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and maybe they’re right. When shots are fired at the Metro Court, and Dex fails to protect his boss, he’ll have no choice but to be grateful that someone else stepped in.

General Hospital Spoilers — Eddie Maine Saves The Day — And Sonny Corinthos

Rumor has it that it’s going to be Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) who jumps in front of that bullet and saves Sonny’s life. There’s no telling where those instincts would’ve come from, given that he has spent his entire life as a corporate businessman.

It’s going to take Eddie by surprise just as much as it does everyone else. Furthermore, taking a bullet so soon after his head injury is going to leave his wife – Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) – frantic. Luckily, Eddie is going to survive this, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to walk away the same man as before he was shot. GH fans have been wondering for a while if Eddie would end up going down the same path Jason did — becoming a mob enforcer previously known as a Quartermaine.
