General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) withheld the truth about their relationship for months out of precaution. They didn’t want to look like they were more than mere acquaintances should the SEC come sniffing around on the heels of someone — like Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) — tipping them off. Sure, they may have dabbled in insider trading, but it was innocent, we swear! Now, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly will be forced to work together for the sake of their family, and it’s going to cause some tension, in a variety of ways.

Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) big day was supposed to be a smooth sailing occasion, free from any familial drama. But as it turns out, nothing can stop the never-ending turmoil that comes with being a member of the Corinthos clan.

Sonny had a hunch that there was something amiss with the Pikeman deal, and his suspicions will prove to be true. With Michael’s takedown going full throttle, Sonny will be left vulnerable to the feds’ grasp.

The mob boss’ territory may be left unguarded, like an open invitation for rival gangs to pounce. The only way to make sure the family — and the business — stay safe is for Carly to fill in while Sonny is detained.

Carly is the perfect person to steer Sonny’s ship while he’s away. The other mob families in town already respect and know her, and she knows the ins and outs of Sonny’s business — something Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) certainly can’t say.

Nina has already claimed a couple of wins against Carly by stealing Sonny away and taking over the Metro Court Hotel.

However, Carly is not one to stay down for long. It’s not beneath Carly to use any and all information she can get her hands on to throw back at Nina — and when she learns it was her ex’s lady who stabbed her in the back and reported her to the SEC, she won’t hesitate to seek revenge.

Might that be in the form of taking back what was really hers all along — Sonny?

With his mob situation heating up, Sonny will find himself drawn back to his ex-wife — much to Drew’s chagrin. Speaking of Drew, we hear he’s head over heels for Carly and is ready to pop the question. But is he seeing the whole picture? Nina might try to warn him — much like Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) tried to warn her.
