GH Spoilers: Sasha Isn’t Nearly As Far From A Future With Cody As She Thinks

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) has been biding her time since she got out of Ferncliff and got rid of Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs).

It’s been a struggle wading through what Gladys has left in the wake of her betrayal — debt, mounting bills, and serious trauma that Sasha has to stay focused on if she wants to make it through this in one piece.

He seems Heaven sent, and she would love to believe that this is a sign from Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) that it’s time to let go and move on, but she’s not there yet.

However, as Sasha continues to warn Cody they may never get there together, she’ll soon have to confront the reality that she’s issuing all of these cautionary words as a means of trying to talk herself out of falling for Cody — and that it’s too late to stop that from happening.

Sasha is no stranger to therapy, and we expect she’s spending a considerable amount of her time in it every week. But beyond making sense out of the losses she has endured — and now the betrayal from Gladys — she also has to think about her budding feelings for Cody.

Caring for him may often make her feel like she’s leaving Brando and Liam behind, and that’s not a comfortable space for her to be in. How can she move on while still honoring the past and the people she continues to love so much who are stuck there?

The more she tells Cody she can’t commit to anything more than friendship with him, the more she will notice it’s a way of reminding herself not to jump in like she really wants to with Cody.

Word on the street is this couple is going to happen — whether Sasha is fully on board at first or not. All of the hesitation in the world won’t help her ignore the way she feels the first time Cody plants one on her. Sparks are flying and as Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) said, everyone can see it.

It practically radiated through the camera on the television screen and soon it’ll become too difficult for Sasha to deny what she’s feeling — even if it means saying goodbye to the life she knows she can’t have with her late husband.

What lies ahead for Sasha and Cody is hard to know at this juncture. The fans are dying for that happy ending they so want Sasha to have after all of the loss she has been through.

At the same time, it seems as though she’s been a bit of a guiding force in Cody’s life — pushing him to want to grow up and be a better man.

Will she help him find his way to his own family, and will they eventually become hers, too? Is a white wedding complete with a baby waiting for this soon-to-be couple down the road?
