GH Spoilers: Sam Won’t Forgive Carly For Letting Drew Go To Prison

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is devastated when she learns about Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) fate.

Drew has been harshly sentenced to three years in Pentonville prison for insider trading. His lawyer, Zeke Robinson (Gavin Houston) worked out a deal where his client would only serve six months in the minimum security Spring Ridge but the judge had other ideas. He handed down a strict sentence to show that no one is above the law.

This did not at all go as planned and now Drew will be leaving those he loves, including his daughter Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante). Her mom Sam is not taking this lightly.

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Spencer Is To Blame For Drew Cain’s Prison Sentence

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is the one who called the SEC on Drew and his girlfriend Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) but she is not the only one to blame. Carly was the one who bought the Aurora Media stock when Drew and her son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) told her not to.

The merger didn’t go through and everyone lost money, especially Carly, but the damage was already done.

The residents of Port Charles don’t know yet that it was Nina that turned the couple in, but she was trying to punish Carly, not Drew.

Someone needed to do jail time and Drew decided to take the fall, assuming he would only serve the six months. Carly fought her boyfriend when he told her his decision, but ultimately let him do it.

GH Spoilers  – Sam McCall Is Furious That Her Daughter Will Lose Her Father Again

Sam was not at all happy when Drew told her his plan to take responsibility for the insider trading. Scout had only recently gotten her father back from being held prisoner for two years by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). Dad and daughter have bonded and now she will have to lose him again.

Drew’s reasoning was that Scout had solid parents in Same and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) who would help her through his absence. He believed that Carly’s daughter Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) would suffer if Carly went to prison and was left with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his soon-to-be wife Nina.

Since Sam had no choice in the matter, she unhappily accepted Drew’s decision.

Sam and Carly were once enemies. Long ago, Sam slept with Sonny and became pregnant with his child, who was ultimately stillborn. Then Sam fell in love with Carly’s best friend Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) which made Carly furious and jealous.

Through the years, there was less and less animosity between the two and they became close friends. But this situation may put an end to that.

Scout is losing her dad for three years. Sam’s child is suffering and it will be very easy for her to blame Carly for that. She let Drew take the fall for her. It is easy for Sam to think that Carly should be the one going to prison, not Scout’s dad. It is a very sad situation for all.
