GH Spoilers: Rena Sofer Dishes On Surprising Return as Lois Cerullo

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that after nearly 30 years, Rena Sofer, who played Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) wife Lois Cerullo is returning to GH. Rena dishes on her surprising return.

General Hospital Spoilers – It Began Out Of Nowhere

General Hospital Spoilers reveal that Frank Valentini (GH Executive Producer) reached out to Rena and asked if she would be willing to talk to him.

Rena revealed that she hadn’t seen Frank since Courtney Hope’s (Sally Spectra, Y&R) and Chad Duell’s (Michael Corinthos, GH) wedding. At the time, Sofer was still on B&B but Frank said he would really like to get her back on GH.

Sofer revealed that when this Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) story came up, it seemed like the perfect time for Lois to come back and try to convince Eddie that he is Ned.

Sofer admits that Lois is one of the top three characters that she has played in her career which spans over 37 years. “Lois has always held a special place in my heart.”

GH Spoilers – Rena Sofer Admits That She Was Nervous

Sofer admits that she was nervous about getting to work on time and had to make sure her outfit and nails matched. She admits to being a bit OCD when it comes to that.

Then Sofer had to get back into Lois’ world. Of course, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) is her daughter with Ned and she has missed some important parts of her life.

Sofer says she was a bit lost at first because, after 27 years, she couldn’t find anything. Rena does admit that she is happy to have work during the strike and to be able to help support her family.

However, this isn’t her home, she is just a guest. Rena also says that the Quartermaine mansion certainly brought a sense of “déjà vu”.

General Hospital Spoilers – When Will Rena Sofer Appear?

Wally found out about Rena’s return because their daughter texted him. Of course, Sofer admits that Rosabel is very excited to see her parents working together again.

Rena, who is set to debut on October 10, admits that working with Wally was always fun and that a divorce and 27 years isn’t going to change that.

Lisa LoCicero, who plays Ned’s current wife, is also thrilled to be working with Sofer considering Olivia and Lois were childhood best friends.

Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn) is also extremely excited to have Brook Lynn spending time with her mother. Setton says this adds a whole new dynamic to the show now that Lois has returned.
