GH Spoilers: Portia Tries To Explain Why She Did What She Did To Curtis, He Is Furious

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Sneak Peek that Portia Ashford (Brook Kerr) tries to explain why she did what she did to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). Curtis doesn’t react well to Portia keeping a secret like Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) possibly being his daughter for over twenty years.

General Hospital Spoilers – Portia Ashford Cries

Portia, still crying, tries to rationalize to Curtis why she didn’t even try to find out whose daughter Trina was for all these years. She cries, how could she – because she was thinking about Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) and Trina, and how they’ve been each other’s world Trina’s whole life. Curtis looks down, and takes a deep breath like yeah, he’s heard all that-she takes a deep breath and continues.

Portia goes on to tell Curtis she thought about the damage that it could possibly cause Marcus and Trina’s relationship. Then she tells Curtis whether he believes it or not, she thought about him too, and he looks at her like he doesn’t believe it.

GH Spoilers – She Continues Explaining

Portia says that she pictured over and over again telling Curtis, and how this news would hit him. She continues, saying how she knew he would be counting up all the years that he had missed, and he looks away and closes his eyes. Portia continues, talking about every birthday, every holiday, every milestone in Trina’s life, and how miserable they all would be if she even raised the possibility. Curtis acts like he’s heard enough, and says you know what-that’s not even the same argument she used when his father came back into his life. She urged him to move on from the past, and to think about the future that he and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) could share.

General Hospital Spoilers – Curtis Ashford Lashes Out

Curtis continues, saying because he listened to her he now has a relationship with a man he thought was dead and gone and the privilege of getting to know his father. Portia agrees, telling Curtis he’s right, but the two situations are a little bit different; if Trina does turn out to be his, she wishes the same for them. Curtis, angry, shakes his head no, and lashes out, saying that was never her intention.

Curtis asks Portia to be real with him – was she ever going to find out the truth about Trina’s birth father, whether it was him or Marcus? Or was it her plan to die with her lie that she’d held onto so many years-she continues to cry.
