Ava’s loyalty is about to be put to the test, and she must choose between saving her own skin, or standing by her friend. Mason wants Sonny dead, and Ava thinks the best way to make that happen is by getting closer to the guy. But how can she do that with Nina in the way? Well, she can’t. Will Ava choose wisely, or will she force Nina to hit rock bottom by sinking her ship of secrets just so she can cozy up to Sonny to position him for death?
Ava’s decision to either resist or adhere to Mason’s orders poses an ethical dilemma. On one hand, blowing up Nina’s life to safeguard her own would be deemed immoral and likely earn Ava the title of Worst Friend Ever. However, resisting Mason’s demands may not be the best course of action either. The question remains: where does Ava draw the line? The consequence of giving into Mason’s manipulation extends far beyond the present moment. Does she really want to go through with any of this when the end game is seeing to it that her daughter never sees her father again?
Nina has already found herself trapped in a web of lies. The more she tries to spin her way out of it, the more tangled she becomes. Every lie she tells leads to another, and the snowball effect is taking hold, threatening to bury her completely. Ava knows that the truth will come out eventually, so she won’t really see the harm in speeding things up. But that doesn’t mean Ava is going to have the nerve to see this whole plan through. Getting closer to Sonny is only half the battle. She needs information on his business, and a clear path for Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) to take him out. Honestly, Nina is the least of Ava’s worries.
The closer Ava inches to closing the deal on this disaster, the more she will have doubts about going through with it. Sonny is the father of her child, and as such, she holds him in high regard — even if much of that is rooted in her fear of him. Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) loves her daddy, and if she ever found out it was Ava who saw to it that he met his demise, she could risk losing her daughter in an entirely different way than Mason might have planned. Can Ava really stomach killing Sonny and watching her daughter grieve that loss for the rest of her life? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead to find out.
