GH Spoilers: Odd Couple Anna & Sonny Discover They’re Soul Mates, Romance Blossoms?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and super spy Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) have oddly been spending stolen moments together in the aftermath of a brazen shooting at the Metro Court pool in Port Charles, New York.
Initially it was thought that they both were the potential assassin’s targets, so naturally they would put their heads together to figure out what happened. Ultimately it was innocent Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) who took the bullet and is paralyzed as a result.

When evil Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) told the world that Anna was a duplicitous double-agent, rocking her world, Sonny responded that he would never judge her.

He has been a staunch ally of her daughter Robin Scorpio (Kimberley McCullough) so it made sense that she would accept his benevolence.

Since the shooting, other shocking events have befallen Anna, but she’s figured out that there are two criminals at work, based on their MO’s.

She’s right of course, and fans know that it is Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) who is targeting her.

Sadly, her supposed friend Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), knows the truth, but thus far has not acted to keep Anna safe, instead choosing to lie for his daughter. This can’t end well.

It’s no surprise that Anna subsequently took Sonny up on his offer to protect her. She doesn’t know who to trust, and her instincts are spot on.

As they spend more time together trying to figure out who wants to see them punished, fans have noticed the spark and natural chemistry between them.

For now they have no idea the depths of deception their partners, Valentin Cassadine and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) have gone to in order to protect Charlotte.

This is a betrayal of the first order, and when the truth comes out, and it will, there may be no choice for Sanna but to find relief and comfort in each other’s arms—and beds.
