GH Spoilers: Nina Says Yes! — And Sonny Doesn’t Want to Wait

General Hospital (GH) spoilers leak Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has gleefully agreed to marry Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and it’s sure to make heads turn when the news starts to spread like wildfire. Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is still getting used to the idea of Nina being her birth mother, much less her mother-in-law. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hates Nina and can barely tolerate his own dad.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will be foaming at the mouth with rage over the idea that Nina is going to be Donna Corinthos’ (Scarlett Spears) stepmother. But the bigger problem, for Nina, is that the only way she can manage her guilty conscience over turning Carly into the SEC is to drag her feet on this marriage. That’s going to be a problem, since Sonny has no intention of waiting to say I do.

Sonny has popped the question and Nina is slated to be the next Mrs. Corinthos. No one thought they would see the day this happened, but at the same time, it makes no sense to think Sonny wouldn’t eventually propose.

He never dated a woman for very long who he didn’t try to marry, right? Name one. Anyway, Nina is going to run to her gal pal, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), with the news that fairy tales really do come true.

Her family may not be the perfect image she always wanted it to be, but some of it is taking shape. She’s won! Right? Not so fast.

Ava will be thrilled for her friend, but she might always point out that Nina will only be in more danger if Sonny finds out she married him under false pretenses.

GH Spoilers – Tease Nina Reeves Wants A Long Engagement

Nina knows the solution to this problem is just to give it time. Eventually, all of this will be history and she and Sonny can move on into the future as husband and wife.

In the meantime, she can enjoy planning the wedding no one will attend. Ava might agree that dragging things out is the best approach.

She has the perfect excuse to give Sonny, too. More time means she can wait until Willow is healed, and they can both give their children more time to come around and warm up to them.

It would be a perfect day to have both Michael and Willow at their wedding. But will Sonny see it that way?

Ever the romantic, Sonny doesn’t care who is at his nuptials as long as Nina is staring him in the eyes and promising her love and loyalty until death do they part.
