GH Spoilers: New Writers Making Show Relatable?

The General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that the new team of writers is making the show relatable. Yet, there are some viewers who think the episodes are boring. Keep on reading to learn more.

General Hospital Spoilers – Hires New Writers

General Hospital is running out of scripts. As a result, they hired temporary, non-union writers amid the ongoing WGA strike.

The dispute between the Writers Guild of America and Hollywood is making an impact on daytime soaps. GH is hiring temporary writers to create new scripts. The ongoing disputes could last into the next year.

Most of the soap actors’ contracts will expire around that time as well. For now, soap actors have to keep working during the strike. That could all change next year when daytime notices the effects of this strike.

General Hospital writers Shannon Peace, who is a WGA member, wrote on Instagram that “the writing team of GH will be watching alongside fans to see what happens… For the sake of fans, I hope the show is in capable writing hands.

Viewers are happy with the new writing. One GH fan praised the new writing team on Soap Central.

The thread on the Soap Central forums is titled: “New writers — dialogue is relatable!” The viewer understands that it’s too early to say anything about the writing and storylines, but they feel that the dialogue has changed for the better.

“It’s still too early to give a full thumbs up, but I really appreciate the dialogue with everyday stuff. It’s truer to real life than the typical BS ‘soap talk’ we typically hear,” the original poster wrote.

“I agree! I find myself actually interested in what the characters are saying now, and I love that we got 2 secrets spilled in one week! Hoping the new writers keep moving along these old storylines that need to get wrapped up asap,” another noted.

GH Spoilers – Fans Bored Over Storylines

Despite the new writing team, some General Hospital fans are bored with the current stories. They want to see something new on the soap.

Another thread argued: “Omg. I’ve had enough of these BORING eps.” Other fans took to the thread to react.

“Filler episodes are usually spaced apart more. I think if Lulu wakes up I would be more interested in watching,” one fan noted.

Others argued about the long, drawn-out conversations. What are your thoughts? Do you like the new writing team? Sound off below in the comment section.
