GH Spoilers: Ned Is Going to Blow The Whistle On Drew And Carly — And She Runs To Her Ex For Help

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) has been stewing over his anger with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for months. When they tried to cut him out of the family business by merging ELQ with Aurora Media, Ned felt shafted and disrespected. Even if it was the best thing for the business, it wasn’t best for Ned and his future working at it. He hasn’t made peace with their decision, although he was able to circumvent it and make sure the merger didn’t happen.

That left Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in the lurch, since she had invested her half of the Metro Court Hotel in the merger that was supposed to be a slam dunk. She and Drew were both left on the hook for insider trading, but that only matters if the SEC finds out. It sounds like Ned is going to make sure they do.

Drew has designs on stopping Ned in his tracks, but his efforts are going to go to waste. All this time, he and Carly have kept their romance on the down low, hoping they wouldn’t give any further rise to suspicion about the nature of their relationship. Now, Drew wants to take their relationship public, and he thinks that such a move, combined with taking himself out of the equation with ELQ, will get Ned to cool his heels. He couldn’t be more wrong.

Drew is going to push Carly to go public with their relationship before he does anything else, which makes her feel quite uneasy. Understandably, she is worried that Ned will act with haste and report them as soon as he sees them living seemingly guilt-free in love. She doesn’t want to fuel his anger toward Drew. However, she knows Drew is right and something has gotta give. Will they pay the price with their freedom though?

When it becomes clear that Ned is going to move forward with his threats, Carly will panic. Although Drew is the man in her life and she’s in love with him, she can’t help but default to old behaviors when she is scared. The last time she was worried about the truth coming out — about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) being Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth mother — she deliberately hid it from Drew and sabotaged his efforts to figure it out himself.

The only way they forged a path forward was by promising there would be no more lies. Hopefully Carly can keep that promise when she heads to her ex, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), for help cleaning up Drew’s mess with Ned. Given that Michael could be impacted, Sonny is sure to help out, but it also strokes his ego to know Carly still needs him — and Drew knows that, too.
