General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Monday, July 24 tease family surprises, scathing accusations, and bearers of bad news. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) delivers news of a family surprise, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) a scathing accusation, and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is the bearer of bad news.

General Hospital Spoilers: Family Surprises

At Kelly’s, Carly has good news about a family surprise that she delivers to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Grandma Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) sold Kelly’s to Carly for a dollar.

So now she has a business, and she plans to make Kelly’s as successful as the Metro Court now is. Once it starts making money, she’ll pay her mother market value; she still has the SEC fine but at least she has a job.

Josslyn looks happy and enthused about the news, Bobbie had owned Kelly’s for many, many years. It’s where her and Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) Aunt Ruby Anderson (Norma Connolly) used to work and Carly says she’s been entrusted with a family institution.

GH Spoilers: Scathing Accusations

Meanwhile, in Pentonville, Drew delivers scathing accusations to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). He’s suspicious that Cyrus had something to do with the Metro Court Pool shooting where Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was seriously injured. He gets up in Cyrus’ face and tells him he knows he’d love nothing more than to take him out-although he could be referring to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) accusation-wise. Drew wasn’t around for very much of the attempted takeovers of Sonny’s territories by Cyrus’ gangs, but he knows the type!

General Hospital Spoilers:  Bearer Of Bad News

In the meantime, Nina has arrived at the Quartermaine gatehouse where she’s the bearer of some very bad news regarding Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). She tells a concerned Michael and Willow Corinthos (Chad Duell, Katelyn MacMullen) that Sasha is far from okay-after being arrested now she’s in Ferncliff.  Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) is fighting for her tooth and nail to get her in a different place after Nina said how horrible it is.

It didn’t help that deadly Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) shot her up with who knows what before Diane got there and was recording her confessions. Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) was even shocked.

GH Spoilers: Play Acting?

In the meantime, Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) is talking to someone on the phone and telling them just to play along and everything will be okay. He could be talking to Ava Jerome (Maura West) about the new nanny especially picked by Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Gray). He could be talking to the nanny as well, since Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) overheard that Austin and Mason are working together, and has Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) following Austin. Mason felt like a nanny not so loyal to Sonny needed to take over for Pilar Rodriguez (Brenda Barbarena).

General Hospital Spoilers: Job Interview

In the meanwhile, Ava is at Wyndemere interviewing the new nanny, Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini), and let’s just say she’s impressed. She tells her the truth is Sonny would be fooled by her but the problem that exists is Betty’s not so subtle threats against Ava’s mom, Delia Ryan (Ilene Kristen). When she hears that, she won’t be so easy to trust Betty around her and Sonny’s daughter, Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

Things might look good at first but they’ll go all downhill from there. Ava won’t like the threats.

GH Spoilers: Surveillance Increased

In the meanwhile, Dex is on the phone with Sonny as he’s tailing Austin, and he tells Dex to stay with him and see what he can find out. Dex might find out some rather unpleasant things, as he’ll make a grisly discovery, perhaps where a body was buried. He could also find a body that someone didn’t get around to burying. Austin might find himself in a whole heap of trouble with Sonny if he doesn’t explain himself and what Mason has him into!
