GH Spoilers Monday, January 9: Heartache, Hope, And Desperate Measures

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Monday, January 9 tease heartache, hope and desperate measures for those in Port Charles. Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) family deals with heartache, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has new hope, and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) takes desperate measures asking for help with a family member!

General Hospital Spoilers: Heartache

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) continues to deal with grief and heartache, after the death of her cousin Britt. Ava Cassadine (Maura West) comes by to offer condolences and share some of her plans, as the two once unlikely friends talk. In the meanwhile, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) makes an intriguing discovery in the box of Britt’s things that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) collected from her office, and Ava asks what do you have there?

It looks like Ava hangs around a bit after Sonny finds Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) medical record in Britt’s box. This should be interesting, but Sonny will undoubtedly not let Nina tell what it is to Ava.

GH Spoilers: Dante Falconeri Has An Update

Detective Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has an update for his boss, Port Charles Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) at the PCPD. He tells her they may be able to eliminate Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) as a suspect. Dante likely cites the seven month pregnancy of the girl, not to mention nothing in the evidence bag to tie her to the crimes. Plus, it’s very difficult to interrogate a suspect who is dealing with a serious case of amnesia, and her attorney not letting a psychiatrist verify it.

General Hospital Spoilers: More Heartache

Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) also deals with heartache as he tries to put his hurt aside. Certainly, he grieves the death of his co-worker but also grieves the imminent death of his relationship with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). But Liz perhaps decides to come clean to Finn as they stand in a corridor at GH-she says she has something to tell him about Esmé.

Finn looks open to listen but he may have some questions for Esmé himself. However, he’s not officially on her case so he may not be allowed in the room.

GH Spoilers: Martin Grey Forbids Entry

Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) hired Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) to represent Esmé, and he’s not letting anyone in her room, doctors included. He wouldn’t let Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) in to assess Esmé’s amnesia, although from what little he was able to assess he thinks it’s real. Kevin was able to tell Dante that, and so Dante can at least tell Jordan that to get her off the hook-no pun intended! If Esmé is faking, her father Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) taught her well, because he’s had Kevin fooled for well over a year too.

General Hospital Spoilers: Desperate Measures

Later, at Wyndmere, Sonny follows Spencer and Victor into the living room, having asked Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) to stay the night with him after breaking the news of Britt’s death to him at Kelly’s. Victor asks Sonny’s help with Spencer, and says he thinks they can work with each other. Sonny will tell him not even when hell freezes over, but Victor will continue to plead his case.

Victor will tell Sonny that they both care about Spencer’s future, but the Corinthos will be hesitant to work with the Cassadine. Sonny’s had a slow burning hatred of Cassadines ever since his sister Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis) was burned by Nikolas.

GH Spoilers: Hope

Willow found out there was new hope when she got a call from Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) telling her a bone marrow donor had been found. However, she seems a little doubtful how someone right there in Port Charles could be a match, as she says she’s not sure, with a confused look on her face. Michael and Willow will meet with Terry to discuss options for a transplant, and go over the procedure if Willow chooses to have it. If the chemo isn’t working as well as it should, Willow won’t have much of a choice but to accept.

General Hospital Spoilers: Still Arguing

Sonny tells someone it’ll be the last time they ever say it, likely still arguing with Victor at Wyndemere. Victor drives a hard bargain but Sonny drives a harder one, and he won’t let Victor hurt his nephew Spencer. They will likely continue to argue until Nikolas arrives home and that will be quite the confrontation if he does.

Sonny pushed Nikolas into the Nurses’ Station at GH he was so mad when Nikolas admitted he was Esmé’s baby’s father. It’s Cassadine versus Corinthos, who’s going to wear down first?
