General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, January 30 tease frustration, surprises and insinuations in Port Charles. Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) expresses frustration, Stella Henry (Vernée Watson) has a surprise, and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) insinuates something.
General Hospital Spoilers – Frustration
Sasha catches up with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and expresses her frustration with some of her mother in law Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) decisions. Sasha isn’t happy when she tells Maxie that Gladys is going to do something whether she likes it or not. That “something” is selling Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage at a much lower price than what Sasha knows it’s worth.
But what she doesn’t know is that Gladys isn’t actually selling it, she’s deeding it over to Selina Wu (Lydia Look) to cover her gambling debt. By the time her guardianship, which is almost over, is over, she may not have any money left.
GH Spoilers – Encouraging Developments
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is happy and tells Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) that’s great news, but Marshall protests, what if it isn’t? Curtis and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) have been trying to get him to play a clarinet solo at their wedding. Marshall has a certain amount of stage fright playing solo and has kept protesting. It sounds like he’s giving in maybe just a little bit but he’s still nervous about it.
General Hospital Spoilers – Surprise
Curtis and Portia’s wedding is looming, and Stella smiles as she sits by Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), likely at a wedding shower for Portia. Stella announces she has a surprise for the bride to be, as Trina looks a little bit pensive, maybe not ready for Curtis to be her stepfather.
But there’s a secret that Portia is hiding and it has to do with Trina and Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews). Stella will become suspicious soon, possibly hearing something she shouldn’t.
GH Spoilers – Guilt
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) knows what that secret is and she makes a suggestion to a nervous looking Portia. She suggests that it might do Portia some good to unburden herself and come clean about that secret before the wedding. Jordan, better than anyone else, knows how Curtis hates secrets and regards them as lies, and if he finds out Trina’s his daughter another way it’s over. Jordan has begged Portia to come clean before it got this far because he divorced her over keeping police secrets from him.
General Hospital Spoilers- Thanks
Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) sit at a table in the safe house where Anna, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) are hiding. Anna smiles and takes Felicia’s hand and tells her to tell someone thanks – possibly Mac Scorpio (John J. York) who probably set up their hiding place. Their plan to throw Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) into a tizzy over Valentin’s “death” seems to be going swimmingly, and the Paris authorities are cooperating with the lie.
Hopefully there won’t be a leak and Victor will continue to believe his luring Valentin to the Paris catacombs leading to his compound led to his death, and Lucy’s. Everyone is in on it on the Port Charles side, so if he finds out it won’t be through anyone there.
GH Spoilers – Insinuations
At the hospital, Nina is there for Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) memorial when she spies Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) hugging in the hallway. She insinuates their romance, which is actually happening but secret, saying “aren’t you two cozy?” Nina will use this against Carly, having just vented to Ava Cassadine (Maura West) that she won’t rest until Carly pays for keeping two daughters from her. If this “coziness” could be used in reporting to the securities commission insider trading in the failed Aurora Media and ELQ merger, Nina’s got a powerful weapon.
General Hospital Spoilers – Disappointment
Meanwhile, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is visiting Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) looks on and they make something perfectly clear. When Willow’s baby is born, Sonny and Nina will not be allowed to visit the nursery or meet the new baby. Sonny is disappointed and in disbelief that they won’t be welcome to see their grandchild, including Nina in the equation.
Now that Nina couldn’t donate bone marrow and they’re using a stem cell transplant from the umbilical cord, they don’t need her. Again, Sonny and Nina are personas non grata to Michael and Willow!
