General Hospital spoilers for Monday, January 1, 2024, tease a New Year’s Day preemption, urgent requests and motherly favors.
Monday will be preempted for sports, but Tuesday, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will have an urgent request and Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) will be asked a motherly favor.
Monday will be preempted for sports, with the 2024 Citrus Bowl hosting the Tennessee Volunteers versus the Iowa Hawkeyes from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
There is no information on if General Hospital will show a rerun should the college bowl game be rained out, but that is the most likely scenario.
General Hospital will be back on Tuesday, January 2 with a new episode showing plenty of fireworks besides what Port Charles is watching at the docks! Lies will be exposed and manipulations will be revealed.

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) arrived home unexpectedly, finishing up his business trip in down under Australia early to surprise Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
They immediately took a “trip” together “down under” the covers and they’re still celebrating New Year’s Eve in bed.
They’re toasting with champagne anyway, and Carly kicks off the covers partially as she exclaims it’s going to be a good year.
Carly and Drew are happy, together, and that’s all that counts tonight. New Year’s Day, however, will find them dealing with the aftermath of a secret.
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) are with Olivia at the docks watching fireworks, and Olivia has just arrived, having left Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) at the Savoy.
Olivia knows that Lois has figured out that Nina blew the whistle on Carly and Drew, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is there.
Olivia knows that Lois is going to tell Sonny what’s going on and reveal the secret Olivia just wanted to forget, since it’s all been said and done.
Olivia tells Ned with urgency that he’d better get back there right now, meaning to the Savoy. Michael, standing behind her also looks alarmed.
Not everyone except Carly and Drew are celebrating the holiday at home, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) is with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and it looks like they’re planning surprises.
Brook Lynn tells Chase it’s better to ask for forgiveness than to ask permission, so it’s confirmed that surprise planning is happening.
Perhaps they’re planning to get married much, much sooner than what they’ve implied because of Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) and his ALS ramping up.
Perhaps they won’t be able to get everyone to their wedding because of the rush, but if some are left out or can’t make it they can ask forgiveness!
Elsewhere, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) grapples with co-parenting Emily “Scout” Cain (Cosette Abinante) because of her father Drew’s polar opposite ideas.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) asks Sam how she thinks Drew’s going to react-it sounds like Sam is putting the kibosh on the private school and overriding him.
Drew had not even consulted Sam, let alone Scout, when he enrolled her in a private school that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) had attended when she was little.
Scout likes the public school she’s in and she doesn’t want to change, and Sam doesn’t want to force her somewhere she doesn’t want to go, Drew paying for it or not.
It will be interesting to see how Drew reacts with Sam, the custodial parent, going behind his back and putting the kibosh on his decision-well, he didn’t ask her!

Meanwhile, it looks like Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) has come to the Crimson office to talk to Nina and asks her, maybe she could help her out?
Nina may never get all those holiday bonuses in the works for her staff, but she’ll put her daughter’s request ahead of them.
Nina smiles and is pleased that Willow has come to her for a favor, no matter what the favor might be.
Maybe she wants her to babysit Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Bo Harrison) and Nina would be thrilled to do it.

Most of the time on New Year’s Eve, people might have a little too much champagne and spill it, but Lois is with Sonny at the Savoy spilling some New Year’s tea!
Will Ned be able to get from the docks to the club to intervene, or will Michael? She already told Sonny he needed to know about his family all lying to him!
Now she’s explaining what she meant by that by saying she knows who really wanted to out Drew and Carly to the Securities Exchange Commission, or SEC. Sonny is in for a shock if she tells him before anyone gets there to stop her!
