General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, August 28 tease comforting advice, confrontational words, and hopefully convincing counsel.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) gives comforting advice, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) confrontational words, and Stella Henry (Vernée Watson) hopefully convincing counsel.
After Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) saw Elizabeth comforting his ailing father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) at GH, he knew his father had told her the truth.
Gregory was diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease at Mayo Clinic with many specialized tests, after which Finn convinced him to get care at GH which he now has.
But that doesn’t make Finn feel any better about all the years he lost with his eventually dying father, most of it because of his self-estrangement from him.
Elizabeth tells Finn not to miss out on what is right in front of him. It never helps when one mourns and regrets past actions with someone to the point they miss out on the time they have left.
It looks like Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) is at the hospital, possibly at Dr. Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) office.
He asks Portia, isn’t that good news – possibly talking about Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) getting a better attitude after seeing a patient who was learning to walk on artificial legs.
Curtis knows it’s not going to be easy-plus there’s the situation at The Savoy, which Curtis intends to keep running in spite of Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) refused buyout offer.
Marshall put Selina in her place and not only did she cave to not buying The Savoy she’s shutting down her poker game. It sounds like Marshall learned how to deal with mobsters in the time he was away from his family.
Lucy and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) get into an argument and Martin looks like he doesn’t know what hit him. Lucy angrily questions that Martin actually believed her, and then calls him an idiot!
The lawsuit comes after Lucy and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) did some digging and took a trip to Pine Valley, Pennsylvania, breaking into Attorney Jackson Montgomery’s (Walt Willey) office.
Lucy had gotten the idea for “The Deceptor” from Martin, but he didn’t want his name attached to it at all and now they’re being sued for theft of the product. Lucy’s quest led her to Pine Valley because of the payments from presumably, Martin’s ex-wife.
Elsewhere, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) needs something from Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) Anna tells Robert she needs a favor and no questions asked. This is likely something to do with trying to find out more about Pikeman and Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) involvement with them.
Neither is in the WSB anymore and neither is Valentin, for that matter. Anna plans to get to the bottom of the issues, even though it doesn’t look good where Valentin is concerned-she thinks possibly someone is blackmailing him again, over her.
In the Spencer kitchen, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) presses Attorney Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) about trying to get Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) out of prison.
It’s difficult to get an appeal when one has taken a plea bargain, but Drew did save a life while there in Pentonville-even though it’s Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). He was thrown into solitary confinement over it so Carly’s hoping that will count as brownie points towards an early release.
Carly pleads as she presses Diane about the situation and asks for confirmation that she’ll take the case. All they can do is try, since that judge seemed to have extreme prejudice.
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) talks things out with her best friend Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), obviously upset about Portia and Curtis’ relationship status. Josslyn listens to her friend with compassion as Trina, nearly in tears, says there’s gotta be a way to bring them back together.

Perhaps the two of them can come up with some kind of parent trap scheme to get Portia and Curtis back on the same page. That will be easier said than done, considering that Curtis is a very stubborn man and feels like he’s only a half one in that wheelchair.
Meanwhile, Auntie Stella is at the rehab where Curtis has been in physical therapy, and sitting in a wheelchair, tells her he’s ready to go home. Stella looks at her nephew and flatly tells him, oh no he’s not!
Stella doesn’t want Curtis to just be satisfied with being able to use his upper body strength to push himself around on wheels or up and down.
She wants him to not settle, to not give up until it’s shown that there is no more that can be done for him to walk again. It’s too soon to give up – he needs to wait and see if his functionality comes back a bit more.
