GH Spoilers Monday, August 14: Payback, Power, Not Playing Games!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates for Monday, August 14 tease payback, power and not playing games!

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) thinks someone wants payback, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) worries over a loss of power, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is not playing games!

General Hospital Spoilers – Dex Heller Gets An Update

Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) gets an update, presumably from Sonny, and asks what’s the plan. Sonny has had him following Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) to find out what his, if any, role he has in the shakedown of Ava Jerome (Maura West).

More recently he had Brick (Stephen A. Smith) looking into Gordon Stevens (Maurice Hall) the man whose body Dex found shot in the back alley behind GH.

He also found out Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) was a receptionist at the same trucking company where Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Gray) was once a driver.

But now there’s an LLC that owns the “family business” and Dex has a new assignment-has Sonny found out Mason made trouble for the ladies at the Highsider?

GH Spoilers – Payback

Elsewhere, after someone burned down Anna’s house, she talks outside with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and tells him someone wants her to pay for what she has done.

It almost seemed like a mobster “leaving a message” considering they watched her from the bushes and waited till no one was home to torch her place.

It is becoming even more important to find out who is targeting Anna, and for which specific thing she did. But if someone wants her dead, why didn’t they wait until she was home to torch her house?

General Hospital Spoilers – Warnings

Meanwhile, back in Austin’s office where he just sewed up Mason’s neck after Carly broke a whiskey bottle over it, Mason has a warning.

Austin obviously wants out of this whatever this is that they’re involved in, and Mason asks him why on earth would he ever let him go?

Mason’s been trying to get Austin to come back to Pautauk and “the family” ever since Austin moved to Port Charles to get away from it.

Austin looks just a little intimidated after playing dumb about Betty to Mason, her being Avery Jerome-Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scarola) nanny. Mason wasn’t having it about what Austin claimed not to know about.

GH Spoilers – Olivia Falconeri Confides In Her Son

Elsewhere, Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) confides in her oldest son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

Dante asks her if she’s giving up on Ned Quartermaine aka Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth). She looks uncomfortable and doesn’t seem to want to answer right away, but no one could blame her if she did.

It doesn’t look like her Ned is ever coming back and he’s going to be this new version of Eddie forever.

General Hospital Spoilers – Eddie Maine Wants To See Someone

Eddie, who was flirtatious with Carly when he, Carly and Olivia were at the Highsider Bar seems like he’s flirting again.

He tells someone he wants to see them-presumably a “her”. Who’s he flirting with this time, Carly again, Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros) or maybe Olivia?

Olivia would have a difficult time accepting Eddie as a love interest when she wants him to turn into Ned. Maybe that’s what Dante is asking her about.

GH Spoilers – Power

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) finally came to the PCPD to get her mom, it appears, as they are talking in the Spencer kitchen.

Josslyn obviously had some questions about how Carly got in that situation and assumes it was trouble brought on by Sonny. Carly is emotional as she explains if he loses his power then they are no longer safe.

It’s Sonny and his team who are keeping organized crime away from Port Charles even if they are involved in it themselves.

If he loses his power there will be a mob war in Port Charles, with others wanting to take his territory over.

General Hospital Spoilers: Change Of Plans

Sonny looks and sounds a little bit menacing as he tells someone there’s been a change of plans-it sounds like the change of plans is for whoever he’s talking to.

Sonny lays a trap for someone, and it’s bound to have something to do with Mason’s bunch and his boss or bosses. Sounds like someone’s taking an all-expense paid trip to the Pine Barrens!

This could have to do with Dex’s new assignment and the plan he was asking someone about. Maybe Dex will actually get a chance to do what his predecessor Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) used to do!
